When you plug the system into the dock with the joycons attached is there a way to tell when it has totally charged? The little light on the bottom left of dock indicates TV output I think.

I expected there to be the usual orange/green charge light.

Oh man. Mine arrived just after 9am this morning.

Zelda was going to take the longest to download so I got Fast RMX and decided to see if the one other person in the world who owned a Switch but not Zelda was on. I came in 2nd.

Fast RMX seems really great, having not had much time with the Wii U version (literally just a four-player split screen race on a washed-out projector screen). I wanted a smooth 60fps game to properly show off the Switch's screen and it does that job well. When boosting on straights at maximum speed it does feel a lot like F-Zero GX. There's some lovely, SEGA-blue skies and a big, brash announced hollering nonsense. It's perfect, really.

I also got King of Fighters '98 because I cannot help myself (I'll no doubt by Waku Waku 7 as well). The game is noticeably dim in display; I don't know if there's a setting I Can adjust to remedy that. I had a few issues performing special moves with the left JoyCon's non-dpad but once I'll played a little it was more consistent than the Xbox 360's dpad and I got on ok with that. Pretty impressed by how instant the Screenshot capture is, coming from PS4. Lovely stuff.

Anyway Zelda's downloaded now and I'm gonna play a whole lot of it.

If you have a PC connected to that same network, do an ipconfig.  Or log onto your router and check in there.

Um so I switched the Switch off and on again and the network appeared. I dunno why as next door's was showing pre-power cycle but all good now, update is downloading.

Switchmas is back on!

How else do you add them?

I've got about 100 people suggested to me. I've just added them that way. Not a friend code in sight.

EDIT: You can also add them locally, and they're adding via Twitter and Facebook "soon".

Do the SD cards go straight in and work? or does the system do anything to them, like a format or owt?. thanks

I put a 128GB one in and it prompted a small (it took seconds) System Update and now it works. It does format it, I'm sure. I've only got four digital games (Zelda, 1,2 Switch. King of Fighters '98 and Fast RMX) so I've not used any of the SD card's space, yet.
