Oh my God. I have fallen for the hype. I kept saying no. Then I looked, just a cursory glance at my nearest Argos. Turns out I can buy one online and pick it up in store today. Neon with zelda. 

 

Umming and ahhing... 

 

Into the trolley. Still unsure. will I get time to play this masterpiece? Have I got the money? The answer to both is not really.

 

So I just went ahead and bought a neon switch anyway. It will have to sit in works office all day looking at me.

I've not been following this joycon disconnection stuff closely, other than noting it was being reported, what is the major difference between the left one & the right one?

 

I assumed they'd be made of the same stuff, have the same components, etc?

Did you do the update with joycon attatched to machine and then a power cycle? It's wired on Reddit as people have said the update fixed the issue so they are trying to work out why it's not fixed for all that updated.

I am not sure what people mean by pointing the joycon directly to the console. What part of the joycon is supposed to be in line of sight with the console? The L/R buttons? Do they have electromagnetic boosters?

Mines sat in the hands of RM with an expected delivery date of Monday. This is a struggle, I want to blow money on loads of games Just bought some eshop points for that Fast RMX, looked pretty good in the trailers. Was tempted by that Setsuna game but seems a tad expensive... but still better than Bomberman!

Got mine.  My fried code seems to be SW-4257-2759-3979.  That's batshit mental.

So are they sticking to the friends code thing? Or is it just because there's no proper system in place yet?

When you start playing 10 quid a month in October Nintendo let you shorten your friend code by 4 digits.  Makes it more memorable.

They claim you'll be able to add friends by other means in the future, including social media. I think the whole online implementation right now is basically still under development.

Will I be able to buy SnipperClips today as I want to take it on holiday with me?

Is the supplied charger moulded or can I detach the cable and charge from my battery pack?

Mine had 40% battery when I ran through the setup. It's now sat on my desk charging.

1. Yes, Snipperclips is out today. CD Keys is thd cheapest, and they give you an additional 5% off for liking their Facebook page (and getting the voucher code from that page too)

2. It's moulded, so you can't detach it.

I generally prefer Sandisk for all my memory card needs, but I was told that as long as it's SDXC it shouldn't make much difference.
