Smyth's were really good, I left my house at 11:10 - got to Smyths for 11.30 - was the first person in the queue at the door, opened the doors at midnight, they had taken all the stock downstairs, had 1 till open for pre-ordered consoles and 1 for general sale, I went to the general sale queue, asked for a Neon he grabbed the console from under the till, asked if I wanted a game bundle, showed me the options, I opted for it with Bomberman for £309.99 so I got Bomberman for £30, I was out the door by 00:01.

Amazon are OOS of that 128GB Toshiba Micro SD for £34.

BUT - Prime Now have it in stock in my area, along with a bunch of Switch accessories and indeed, the console itself! And there's a £5 off voucher if you spend £50 - 5OFF50. So worth a look.

I ordered a memory card, a spare Switch plug, and some nibbles.

Probably the least exciting delivery I'll have all day :hat:

I mean, the Switch plug is obscene for £27 (though I did get £5 off), but the cable is 1.8m long, and it means I don't have to go through the arduous process of figuring out which third party plug will charge the Switch fast enough without frying it. So yeah.

At least it comes with one. I got my NES mini home today to find out it doesn't come with an AC adapter.

Nice to see it's in stock in a fair few places - hopefully it will significantly take the wind out of the sails of scalpers. I'm tempted to pick one up despite all its faults but the silence from Nintendo regarding the controller issue is a bit worrying. I think I'm going to hold off until we know more about whether it can be fixed with software or needs a hardware revision.

The cartridges taste disgusting! Takes a while to kick in but when it does. Eugh

Why is it, after all the reports about it, is licking one of the cartridges going to be one of the first things I do when I pick up my Switch later?
