I think I found the best charger for charging the Switch at work: https://www.amazon.co.uk/iKits-8144-EU/dp/B01D2X4D1I/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1488401981&sr=8-1&keywords=72w+usb-c

It's the only one I can find that specifically says it'll do 3a & 15v on the USB-C port but is obviously an unknown brand.  The other option is the Anker one (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Anker-Premium-Charger-PowerPort-Delivery/dp/B01C89H12K/ref=pd_sbs_107_2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=FWFC5XB0E1ZCYBCC3K41) but it's only 60w rather than 72w and I read in the reviews that it won't fast charge an iPad Pro.

Im dubious as I was going to order the Aukey branded one until I read a review and they tested it with very poor results - so out of spec it could cause damage to what it was charging :o

Can you post the link to that review? I've got that Aukey one and want to know whether my house is going to burn down tonight.

The potential for cheap USB-C adaptors to destroy your device is pretty concerning.

Oh yeah good point. Thank god.

Is there anything in the instructions that say it'll output 15v 3a through the USB-C port?

Edit: Looking at it some more the USB-C port is rated at 30w and the Switch needs 45w for full speed charging.

If you're dropping £25 on a charger, why not get the official nintendo adapter?  Just curious as to the benefits?

Because the Nintendo charger is a single plug and cable solution, whereas this can be used for different cables and multiple cables at once, too.

I want something with extra USB ports so with a single plug I can charge the Switch, my phone & headphones all at the same time.

So if I use an apple plug adaptor it will charge my switch just not as quickly? And if I'm using it at the same time it will charge it to the point that the battery will just take longer to run down?

An apple iPhone adaptor is pretty weedy at 5w so I doubt it would charge at all if you were playing it.

Ah well, I'll just use this upstairs and get another one for my Switch changing instead then.

Wouldn't it charge but at a lower rate than the drain? Thereby effectively extending the battery.

EDIT I have ab apple 12watt adaptor, too (I think it's from an iPad.) That's gotta do some good, right?
