Absolutely bewildered at some folks on Twitter and NeoGAF saying the build quality is a problem because one outlet (Giant Bomb) dropped it on a concrete floor. Even though IT STILL WORKS AFTER BEING DROPPED ON A CONCRETE FLOOR, the JoyCons could be removed without pressing the release button if you used enough unnatural and excessive force to pull them out.

I will never call myself a "gamer" as long as these people do.

I know I'm an old fart, but those graphics are incredibly difficult to parse. I cannot even begin to distinguish between the explosions and the enemies. Pretty to look at, but no thanks.

This has geometry wars written all over it. Looks fantastic!

New facebook cover photo GET.

I am SO hyped. So I just really hope they are priced correctly. Which I highly doubt. :(

So many fantastic Nindy games. They'll play fantastically on the go.

Those 18 minutes have basically ruined a lifetime worth of "Nope, not buying digital only games, only cartridges / discs for me" So many fun looking games I want to play, but mostly the Advance Wars clone and the VBlank Hawaii game :)

Whelp. You've missed out on the entire indie renaissance, and some of the best games released in the past ten years (well, I'd say most of the best games of the past ten years).

I liked the look of Mr Shifty. I see from their website there is a beta, anyone played it? Reminds me of Hotline Miami.

Yep. Looks like someone bolted a teleportation mod onto Hotline Miami. Which is blatant rip-offery but AWESOME.

Does the Raspberry Pi have Bluetooth? Plan on setting up RetroPi one day and the Pro Controller would be nice with it.

The Pi3 and yesterday's new Pi Zero W both do. Adding it to older Pi models is easy - you just need a 50p Bluetooth dongle.

I'm just going to say - I can't stop thinking about this console ^_^

Release day can't come quick enough, and the Switch had best live up to my expectations!

Anyways watching the Nindies thing yesterday there were about 3 or 4 games that really piqued my interest and I am generally not an Indie fan so yeah at least I know there will be games I am purchasing this year :) Hopefully they are all priced sensibly.

Isn't that just a waifu simulator away from being Fire Emblem?

No, they're both very different.

I woke up this morning thinking it was Thursday having dreamt about the Switch all night. Still got one more sleep until I pick it up, the realisation of that has already set me up for a shit day.

Plus you level up characters in Fire Emblem so some strategy elements can be ignored by over-powered units.

Advance Wars' stages feel more tightly designed as a result. Plus you're not going to weep/restart in Advance Wars if a single unit gets defeated.

Ah, I'm dumb.

I don't think it's going to stand up well against Advance Wars in direct comparison but it's been so long since we've had an AW game I don't think that matters too much.

With you on that ^_^ I think it will sell enough to warrant a sequel or another iteration. Who knows maybe it will show nintendo there is still a market for Advance wars and maybe have both of them running side by side or something

Eventually crumbled and (re) pre-ordered a Switch only to find out Zelda isn't available. Had to cancel. I'm away for a fortnight from Saturday anyway so I'll check out the situation when the dust has settled. I'll have to play Zelda on the WiiU after all.
