Urgh I'm sick of waiting. I wonder why they dropped the D-Pad? It's just crying out for one.

I'm guessing because they wanted the same set of buttons for when you're using one? I'm guessing they could bring out a separate joycon with a d-pad for single player use! They could bundle it with a NES re-mix game!

Until then I guess it's makes my the price of my pro-controller purchase a bit more justified(was really on the fence, as I liked the dog grip when trying it on splatoon 2). Though I wanted the option of two full controllers, so it was that or two more joycons(and the charge grip), which was tempting as all red would look lovely.

This is a great little article about the Switch's tactility. Something that's really impressed me without even actually having used one yet.

What nintendo is doing is hardly revolutionary. I, and most mainstream users, have been able to connect their phones wirelessly to an Apple TV/chrome cast or whatever for the last five years.

Im getting one - but think that piece is complete hyperbole.

I don't know if you've noticed but the latency on an Apple TV or whatever is atrocious.
