The detachable controllers really are a masterstroke/nightmare for the mad eggs and the anxious.

Anyone who has pre-ordered a grey Switch can just buy a pair of neon Cons and enjoy the unparalleled Fun experience. Anyone who has pre-ordered a neon Switch can just buy a pair of grey Cons and enjoy the unparalleled Mortgage experience.

No more regrets about getting a black console instead of a white. The power to change is in your hands.

Anyone seen a UK price listed for the dock? No prices or listings for the thing anywhere, might be a special order from Nintendo as a spare or something.

I want two more docks... one more for at home and one for the office...

We've been over this. Nintendo are gonna release more colours to tempt you. You gonna get grey then? Of course not. There'll never be a better time to get classic grey than at launch.

I'm going to return to my school days and customise mine with Tipex.

Except if you buy grey, and then in a few weeks decide you want blue on both sides, you can't.  You're stuck with a red and a blue which is going to be the opposite way around to every bit of advertising.  Each time you sit on the tube with your switch, and you notice the adverts above the head of the person opposite, that's going to remind you that you will never be able to have a proper console.

http://www.nintendo.com/switch/buy-now/ lists the dock+ac+hdmi at $89.99 but I haven't seen anywhere in the states or UK selling it yet.

@Stanley

For your benefit I spotted them for £99.99 the other day from a UK seller. When I have a bit of free time later on I will see if I can find out who that was with. But I think it was the only seller I had seen them with so I don't know if that price will change at some point.

£100 for a charger, an HDMI lead and a plastic stand?!

Would it really surprise you when a controller is £65? ^_^ As I said I'll double check who the seller was, it may have been that they placed it up provisionally until they had a confirmed price.

At least a controller has buttons and sticks and wobbles in high definition or something.

Even if it ends up being the same as the u.s. with currency rates its still £70-£75 which is still high for what it is. I don't think I will be able to justify buying one just for the convenience of moving rooms. It's portable, I just won't play it on a big screen if i'm not in the room with the dock :D

I don't fully understand how the price of controllers seems to be getting higher. Surely there is less and less design in a standard controller these days i.e The PS4, xbox one and the switch pro controller. They are much of a muchness. So the design cost is going to be relatively small surely? I.e. looking at the pro controller being what £65 is it? I can't remember off the top of my head, but manufacturing costs and material costs can't be that high surely?

Pretty sure this has been and tested and no joy. I believe the dock has some proprietary bits in it.

I would think that there is something in the dock that assists with taking the screen res up from 720p?

Plus if Nintendo had allowed that then there would be no reason for people to buy an extra dock and thus no extra monies :P

Panic stations as I had an email from ShopTo confirming my order was processing - I couldn't even remember pre-ordering from them!

I ordered one for you. Your missus is getting a subscription to Cosmo.
