I've been watching videos of the Monster Hunter Double Cross demo in anticipation. I've only played big telly versions of MH and it looks like they've gone all-in on even more mechanics since MH3U with hunters styles and arts :wub:

 

 

Big screen and portable? It's going to be the game of the forever.

I relented on Saturday and pre ordered from Shopto, but listening to NVC and Rebel FM last night has my finger hovering over the cancel button. I really want to play Zelda, but there seems to be a lukewarm/concerned attitude to the hardware itself from a technical/mechanical perspective. It already seems ripe for a V 1.5 by the sounds of it.

Nah, MK8 and Splatoon need to be staggered. As do Mario and Zelda. Arms could have been a launch game, mind.

I know what you mean. I went to the Eastbourne shop there and they were useless. To be fair the girl that has managed my preorder at Redhill's was great.

Apparently Crawley Smyths videogame section is a joke too.

Soon they will replace all shops with amazon lockers.

If you want to listen some interesting Switch talk the last Rebel FM episode is very good.

 

Arthur Gies, from Polygon gives his impression of both the Switch and Zelda

If you dont know him, he is like a clever brogamer who sees nintendo with cynical lenses. He does not seem to have much sense of humor, I still like to listen to his opinion.

The interesting thing is that even though he mentions all the flaws of the hardware you can tell that he REALLY likes the idea and the final product. He understand the compromise of a hybrid system and he totally accepts it.

Same with Zelda, you can tell he is deeply impressed by the way that the game has been designed.

By the way his Zelda opinons are the only trully spoiler free, he wont go into any detail that could spoil the experience.
