Looks like Jeff is using a bit of force to me, though in time I suspect they won't stay latched on as easily.

When you apply force it'll be a matter of them popping out like that, or applying a bit more force to break the clips entirely. Nintendo went with the former because they don't want people coming out saying how easy it is to break them.

Lovely, that's Vita level sleep recovery speed! Hopefully it also shares the Vita's rock-solid battery performance while in sleep mode, rather than the 3DS's "will you lose all your progress before you get home?" lottery when in sleep mode on low battery.

2% every eight hours apparently. Sorry, I can't find the source because it's nearly 3am and I'm lazy.

How do you then remove them if the Switch is placed in the dock?

I think also, so that children can easily pull them off.

Are you all keeping your Wii U's or trading in?

I haven't touched mine in ages but as ever the thought of getting rid of so many Nintendo games makes me very sad. I still have my Wii for the same reason.

My husband sort of said I could get a new console if I sold one. I've still got a PS3 though so I could get rid of that!

Or maybe just hide both.

Ahhh it's so hard. I'm not sure I can justify it for one game that is also coming on a console I still own!

And I've already booked Thursday, Friday and the following Monday off work for unrelated reasons. Gah!

Get Zelda for the Wii U?

Some people find the backstand a bit unstable.

It is not that bad but CNET has tried to stir it up.

First I though the issue did not worth watching a video but the montage they have done is hilarious and made me lol.

I'm keeping my WiiU. I still need to finish Tokyo Mirage Sessions and Xenoblade Chronicles X (although it'll take some convincing for me to get back into that one). And I have Paper Mario: Colour Splash still sealed.

You're allowed to own more than one Nintendo console.

If you need rational arguments to justify the purchase (which in hobbies it really should not matter that much)

Dont forget that Zelda is expected to have heavy expansions.

By the time the expansions arrive you would wish you had got it on the Switch in the first time.

I've got 3 of them coming, I want one for myself and will be shipping the other two off to CEX to help knock my unit's price down a touch.

This is getting negged but I guess if it's pushed up Nintendo's launch numbers that's great.  Buy some more!

I'm keeping my Wii U as I still have plenty of games to play on it. Also my son plays Minecraft on it most days using the gamepad.

I've always been disappointed with the Wii U, more than any other Nintendo console I've owned TBH, but I wouldn't be parting with mine if I was getting a Switch. I still bitterly regret selling a lot of my original GameCube collection for far too low a price to get a Wii and games and extra controllers at launch... Lesson harshly learnt. (Big relief in retrospect that I managed to re-collect most of it in 2010 before the prices went mental.)

Damn it, I keep pondering cancel system and just buy Zelda on WiiU as it is the only game I am interested in. The hardware isn't going to make it that much better I don't think.

Well, apart from that you can play it lying in bed etc. Besides, Mariokart is out the month after too and there'll be all sorts of multiplayer shenanigans going on.

Any word on whether MK8 is cross play with Wii U actually?

Seeing as the Wii U is backward compatible (and upscales all Wii games) why would you keep the Wii?
