Am I the only one who thinks Bazooka's increasingly rampant hyperbole is some vintage Ramone social engineering and there'll be a big reveal on launch day that he isn't getting one?

Say it ain't so, Joe.

This console is everything I've always wanted. All Nintendo's output on one machine.

I had fears. Big fears. I feared this thing would look like a big lump of shit. Like the gamepad. Thought they were gonna make a Tonka console. The fact the hardware looks cool as fuck... man. This thing can't fail.

All Nintendo's output on one machine. One machine to rule them all.

Haven't actually ordered one for myself but the boys have ordered one each. Will get my own at some stage, I'm sure.

Further to that. Iwata said that's what they want to make - a unified platform.

They've literally actually made one. It's on sale from 3/3/2017, grab one, it looks fantastic. Actually made one, a home console/portable hybrid.

They've said they've made one and they hope people use it for all their gaming needs.

Okay, with all that there are still some people who think that... Well, that that hasn't happened. That they're gonna make a new 3DS to go head to head with the Switch. Not just people on forums. Most gaming websites.

I just can't fathom how stupid people are.

Jesus, the NDF is back in force! Terrible unboxing videos getting upvoted while anything not 100% positive gets accused of being clickbait, angry responses to any concerns and ramone going crazy on anyone who's noticed that there's a 99% chance that this will bomb like all Nintendo's other insane, archaic shit. Feels like the GameCube launch all over again :)

Loved the GameCube. So that's cool.

Nah it's just people being positive about something which is sparking a bit of life back into video gaming.

Last thing we needed was another console that did exactly the same shit that the PS4 and XB1 did.

I'll admit, there could be more games at launch and Nintendo could've been clearer on the online/VC situation, but this is only the seventh proper home console Nintendo have released. We won't get another for probably another 5 years. It's one week away. And Zelda is fucking on the way.

If being excited for that makes me a member of the NDF then please sign me up.

So battery life measure on Zelda at max brightness wifi on etc was about 2 hours 30 minutes. Kick the brightness down and switch to airplane mode and that goes up to around 3 hours 15 minutes ish. Default mode was about 3 hours, give or take 10 minutes. Basically exactly what nintendo said it was.

A full battery recharge from 0-100 is 3 hours 4 minutes but to charge to 90 percent is just 2 hours and 11 minutes. (Lithium ion batteries trickle charge the last ten percent ish).

I'll play Zelda on the last Nintendo box I wasted money on near launch. I would've had a substantially better experience with my last three Nintendo consoles if I'd just bought them after they'd failed along with the ten Nintendo games released, instead of wasting money on an early console and leaving it to gather dust for months on end. If I ever bother buying a Switch that'll be what I do, but at the moment I'm thinking Breath of the Wild will be my last Nintendo game for a long time :(

You reckon only one kid in a family will own a Switch? How will that work?

Well it's designed as a multiplayer console out of the box, so there's your family angle. It's too expensive and not really kid friendly otherwise though.

How much are iPad minis. You don't need to reply so I didn't use a question mark. I'm being sarcastic to make your point look stupid.

Its been fifteen years and he's still doing the same bit, so it seems unlikely he's going to stop. I'm guessing he feels a kindred spirit in Nintendo.

It's kind of weird. These personas people create and act out in lieu of having any kind of normal or meaningful discussion. Problem is he's done it for so long people just accept it in the end, and becomes normal. But it's not it's fucking childish, and weird, and unfunny.
