I'm so jelly of you guys! Why can't I play videogames at work....rather than.... you know.... work :(

Does your employment contract specifically say you can't play switch at work? No, I didn't think so. You know what to do.

JUST YOU STEP OFF FOR SECOND THERE BUDDY!!

This is a brand new... Console is too small a word. This is a brand new device. Capcom love it. Just because they're not launching with RE Switch it doesn't mean anything. They love the Switch, that's a good thing and suggests they're working on some real barnstormers. Sure, all they could get ready for launch was Street Fighter. The Japanese will love that. There's literally nothing negative here.

Nintendo are all about announcing games which are close to release. Nintendo and it's third party partners have announced the minimum required to create massive amounts of hype. And that's enough for me.

Have an A.

Then put it in the first sentence where it should have been in the first place.

C+ must try harder.

I'm buying one *for* work.

In addition to my own.

My dock will be at work and the console will be where ever I am :)

How the hell is "I am Setsuna" only 1.4Gig??? The Vita version is 3.4 and has bare minimal voice acting and very poor graphics compared to the PS4 and PC versions I have seen runing, the lower res textures don't hurt the game in the slightest, but knocking 2Gig off the size of it seems a bit crazy!

A long time ago I once did a complete run through of Baldurs Gate 1 and 2 including every available add on. I think I clocked over 400 hours all told in work hours. Fun times

According to an article I read via Flipbook while having a shit this morning (Can't remember which site sorry) Square Enix are chatting to Nintendo about if it would be feasible to port Final Fantasy XIV to the Switch. I'm not sure the hardware would be up to it (And you'd need a big chunk of speedy SD card space) but hey. At one point it ran ok on the PS3. One key thing SE would be after is having it part of the regular servers and not boxed off into it's own ghetto. FFXIV is a rare MMO that doesn't segregate by platform. PS4 and PC owners play together.

It's also a bloody good MMO. Only the sub fee stops me going back to it.

That's me decided. I'm going full digital like I do on my other consoles. Didn't really want the expense of buying a big MicroSD card any time soon, but looking at that I reckon I'll be good for a couple of months at least.

I meant the dock.  I wouldn't expect one on a tablet. Ta.

If you want to go wired, it's the same as Wii U - use a USB adapter (or just carry on using the same one you already had for Wii U). There's an expensive official one (from HORI I think), or just use any of the much cheaper third-party ones.

My brother sent me a really detailed description of the Switch and games from one of the events at the weekend. He was very impressed by Zelda and Arms, and said the build quality of the hardware was much better than expected. Kind of ruined the whole thing by asking for a Switch for his imminent birthday at the end, which I'm not going to do as I'm still pissed off for him getting me a 75p secondhand book the year I got him a 3DS XL.

How old is your brother?

Right, we've had Micro SD Chat, and we've had Case Chat, but now we need USB Power Adaptor Chat.

The one that comes supplied with the Switch (and the one you can buy separately) is an all-in-one USB C to power adaptor, not like Apple's power adaptors where you can use any cable in the USB power adaptor.

The supplied one will live behind my TV, but I want another two so I don't have to keep unplugging the main one. Also the cable that comes with the all-in-one will probably be super short. Also they're £30 each.

I want to buy two of these 3.3ft USB 3.0 > USB C cables, but does anyone know what power USB adaptor I'd need?

Or are people doing something else about powering their Switch in handheld mode while the wife's asleep next to them in bed? What's everyone else doing?

I've lucked out, my current phone charges over USB-C so I'm already sorted for gaming in bed. If you're buying a separate USB > USB-C cable then any USB charger should work.
