What are the straps for? Is it something to do with improving the joy-con ergonomnics when using each one as its own controller?

Basically, yeah. It adds more bulk to the joycons and puts the shoulder buttons in a more comfortable place. Everyone I've heard who's tried it says you really need the strap if you're playing with a joycon on its side.

e.g look where the SL and SR buttons are without and with the strap

That was around a few weeks ago - the interview came about because of it.

I don't think so - most of this documentation only broke yesterday didn't it?

Can you give any source with it from earlier? If not, I'm gonna set the siren on you....

Nintendo haven't revealed much about their plans for this separate mobile app. According to a recent press release, as well as voice chat it'll also be used for scheduling matches.

Not only have they thought of a way to let you speak to people using your telephone, but they're designing a way to send your friends messages.

Visionaries.

And their support only referenced NNIDs. So why refer to them now?

Because it may be one supported legacy route and the documentation is trying to cover all the bases? It also talks about being able to send and accept requests from the friend and active/past player lists as well for example. And from within games that want to support it.

Interesting that they missed out adding people via their Nintendo Account, if they were trying to cover all the bases!

Is it OK to worry yet?

Yes. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Spoiler

Of course it's not, don't be ridiculous.

March is a five week pay month, that's bad. It makes more sense to wait. Maybe there will be more games and colours. It might even have Netflix by Christmas.

I'm not interested in pre-ordering, never have been. No point in waiting for DPD to deliver it either, I'll just go and get one from Argos.

I'm getting a Switch. I'm an idiot. It's going to be amazing. See you on launch day.

When I got my PS4 on launch day it was from ShopTo via DPD. The tracking info showed that I was number 163 of 185 (or something very similar). It finally showed up at 6:45pm.

The worst thing was I could see Gary doing his drop offs on their live map and it was almost as though he was avoiding me.

I've preordered from ShopTo via DPD.  If I am in a similar scenario where I have to wait the whole day for Gary to drop it off would it be too much to actively follow his van in my car and try and get him to give it to me there and then?
