Maybe the HD rumble can be so subtle it makes it feel like the pen is moving across real paper?

Doing it over a weekend or over 5 days won't get the same level of sustained traffic that a series of 1 hour slots would.  I fully expect it to meltdown in the first 1 hour slot.  Then it'll get better as Nintendo (or whoever runs their online infrastructure) tweaks or add servers for the next slot.  Does it mean that their is more publicity and buzz around those slots?  Of course! and well done on Nintendo for doing it a little different.  

 

 

Forgive me for not knowing the career paths of everyone on this forum and yes, I understand the principles of a stress test (clue's in the name).

 

I just don't think Nintendo are doing it for this purpose.

 

I think we can move on now.

Don't really like them myself either. Something like Zelda/Mario maybe the exceptions but that's only because they're usually easy. Three hits and done is pretty much the limit of my patience. Absolutely cannot stand the souls games for this reason.

Totally honest question - what on earth do you think Nintendo are doing it for then? You can't honestly believe it's all some deliberate haha troll or something?

 

It looks like a stress test, sounds like a stress test, smells like a stress test - but apparently because it's Nintendo it's impossible for you to actually believe it is a stress test?

I think I phrased that badly, sorry. Of course I think it's a stress test. Doing the stress test in 6 hour segments though, rather than a whole weekend or week like everyone else would, that's just them being paranoid and not wanting to give stuff away for free. 

 

Let's move on now.

There might not be enough stress if it was spread out. There's only gonna be 2 million Switchs out there.
