My Amazon neon has been bumped to launch day delivery. It appears there will be plenty of stock at launch.

3 weeks to raise £280... :(

Nobody needs to pay quite as much for them.

Zelda BoTW Ltd Ed can be bought at shopto for £80

Pro Controller is £60 on Nintendo UK Shop

I've also got BotW coming for the Wii U, it will sit on the shelf sealed for ever, picked up the Ltd Ed of it for Switch from ShopTo for £75 ( no idea why it was cheaper ? ) that will be opened up just as soon as I've finished having a hack on 1,2 Switch.

of course, it all depends on which console arrives first though, 1,2 is coming with my Amazon order and BotW is with the one from ShopTo, launch day race is go :P

I'm not bothering with the Pro Controller. The Joycons will be new and shiney so will just want to spend time getting used to those can worry about other pads later. Really looking forward to the new Shovel Knight content hopefully that hits launch day.

No proper D-Pad, even if it's close to pointless in Zelda's case, really annoys me. Otherwise, yes, it would be especially interesting to see if 'relaxed' style of holding the JoyCon's on the couch will feel like a almost new experience of sorts. Pro Controller really is essential for anything Virtual Console, though.

I guess as with anyone to start with I had that 'it's going to be sold out forever afterwards' dread. Now with the apparent supply on show, perhaps not going to be a case of the NES Classic at all.

Must admit, I'm umming and erring even more now that stock seems to be ok. The thought of the device being in limited stock, possibly for many months, was an extra excuse to ignore my perilous financial state. The wiser me is now saying wait and save up a bit more..

The Pro controller doesn't seem necessary (at the asking price) until Splatoon 2 comes along.

I'd like to play Zelda on the big screen with it, should be more comfortable and wanted to preorder day one after my experience with the Wii U Pro controller and stock shortages.

That's exactly where my copy shall sit, still have a sealed Gamecube Twilight Princess :)

Yeah mine was £77 ish, it's due to the loyalty scheme they have, bronze/silver/gold members. I'm only a silver scrub.

I managed to resist Zelda for Wii U this time around, but I have a feeling I bought GC Twilight twice, as well as Wii Twilight as I planned to play it on Wii, then on GC for comparison. I never finished it on the Wii, and didn't even start it on the GC.  Pretty sure there will be a LOT of gamers buying Wii U Zelda to keep sealed though.

As for Wii compatibility... Who knows, but a port of Samba De Amigo with some new tunes and played with JoyCons would be nice :)

Imagine that HD rumble build up as the song comes to a climax...  Booom!   :D

I'd settle for playing the Wii version if the more presumably accurate JoyCons could make it work better!

Why'd you need all that shit?

I'm day one-ing it and got my 3rd March date email from Amazon. So -

  • Switch - £280
  • Zelda - £48
  • Official soft carry case - £20
    • Total - £348

That's it. Don't need nothing for a good while, certainly nothing till the next pay day.

This is my exact order
