Not exactly concrete info, so deKay can get his siren out on this, but somebody from Image & Form recently made some comments on the 'new' eShop. They should be reasonably informed - known close partners with Nintendo, and with a confirmed title in the works for Switch:

Also not sure if it's already been posted or not, but looks like that memory card discussion from a few pages back might need a bit more thought - as microSDXC support apparently requires a (day 1?) update...

I wouldn't worry - it will take a day to successfully download Nintendo's Day One OS update! :D

Mine says March 3rd but no doubt will be delivered at 2100 and even then I don't have any spare plugs or somewhere to actually put it :o

 

I get the feeling that if I preorder a Pro pad that will be delivered at 0800 and there I will be sat looking at the telly holding a Pro pad!

All the launch day worries about delivery is exactly why I still order from GAME nice and early so I can attend the midnight launch, yeah it might be boring but at least I'm not glued to the window waiting on the delivery man on the 3rd and can spend the entire day off work playing the Switch.

There's no way I would buy from Game for new hardware any more. You can guarantee they'll only sell you a console with a copy of Bomberman, 1 years cover and disc protection (even though it comes on carts) for a bargainous £359.78 (Save 22p on buying these separately!!!)

I'm getting mine from Game too.

I just produced an agenda for a meeting I'm going to in a minute and number 1 is key dates - the first date on the "key dates" is Friday 3rd March. Luckily, I'll get two full days before my next key date that runs Monday through to Saturday the following week. The saving grace is that I can bring it into work! Thank you Nintendo for portability.

Ha, i'd rather go to GAME than have to wait till the 4th, even if you get yours early on the 4th lets say 9am i'll have had my Switch in my hands for 33hrs (minus sleep) of Zelda bliss.

Haha really? that's absolute nonsense, I got my Xbox One, PS4, PS4 Pro all from GAME at midnight launch with none of that BS.

I've not had an issue with ShopTo for WiiU and Xbox One for launch delivery. The WiiU showed up a day early, Xbox One showed up before noon on launch day.

In saying that, I've pre-ordered at Game for midnight launch just to ensure I have one, even though I've not had an issue before. Switch has me so excited I'm willing to risk Game, something I haven't done since Modern Warfare 2!

I ordered from the Nintendo store so we'll have to see, they closed the Game store that was in Enniskillen and I'm not even sure where the nearest one is now.

The two of you should meet at a motorway service station midpoint and get playing.

No one knows yet. Most likely the current account you have for the wiiu or 3ds (or both).
