Well it's posted on the official Nintendo UK website.. can't get much more reliable than that.

 

What I wanna know more about are the GPU/CPU specifications.  The only thing we know so far is that its GPU is a custom Nvidia Tegra chip and no concrete specs about it.

I can't see anything on there that says it supports bluetooth headsets.  It has a standard headphone/mic socket and then in a separate section is says:

I read that as that bluetooth was only available in TV mode, but now I look again I guess it means the wired LAN thing is TV mode only.

It's hardly pointless.  I mainly want to know the differences in graphical power between docked and portable modes, and if we can change certain power settings when in portable mode if we're okay with slightly more battery consumption, or even if we want to further lower battery consumption.

 

I don't care about the graphics capabilities in general, as Nintendo always maintain excellent art styles in first party titles that make the graphical power negligible to me in that respect.

 

But I don't typically buy an electronic device without having known what its specifications are first, and I don't plan on buying the Switch until I know what they are.  So knowing the GPU's power in docked mode verses the power and options in portable mode, would be nice.

Don't buy it then. See if we care. Cut off your nose to spite your face. You can sit there and watch us playing on our Switchs having a great old time, safe in the knowledge you haven't betrayed your core tenet, of not buying electronics without knowing their technical specifications.

 

I suppose you won't watch a film without knowing which camera it was filmed with.

I said I wouldn't post but guess what. I pre-ordered with Game. I pre-ordered in store and I was the first person in that store to do so. I asked the nerdy girl who slightly fancied me as I was pre-ordering a Nintendo console (in my head) if I was the first person she'd had and she said yes - then she offered me an extended warranty.

Sounds like you care a little too much actually.. :lol:

 

Is it somehow wrong in wanting to know more information about a product I want to buy? Especially when that product is going to cost me over $300? I'd hardly equate that to going to see a film for a couple of hours.  It's more of an investment.

Thanks for that I've just ordered one.  And I'm super fucking excited about playing my first Zelda game in years (never played Skyward sword).  I have not ordered any games yet as I'm awaiting e-shop prices (I prefer digital) although I'd buy physical if Nintendo take the piss on prices or run out of digitals. I'm thinking of getting Blinding of Issac as well.

 

The portability of the Switch is the USP for me so I can have 'social' time with missus while she watches the shit on telly instead of sloping of to my games room.

 

Im 42 years old and am going to construct a camp in my hallway in preparation for postal delivery of my Switch where I will provide live updates on this thread or relevant postal delivery thread.  My wife thinks I'm a loser but I don't care.

It's the only console that's portable.

 

It's the only console that plays Nintendo games. 

 

I will be playing mine in 34 days. 

 

These are the the only things that matter.
