If you want me to, no problem. Anything in particular you want to be updated on?

How easy it will be to get one at Christmas will help :P

I'm thinking this will either tank or do really well, so I am hedging my bets and buying early, if it gets a price drop to move more units as it's doing badly, then they will likely offer an Ambassador program like they did on the 3DS so I will be quids in with some ROM's of old NES / SNES games that I'll likely not play or if it sells well and keeps selling well, then Nintendo will have fuck all chance of getting enough consoles out in time for Christmas ( because Nintendo obviously ) and they will be in short supply, thus pushing the price up even higher.

Price is gonna go up. You're the new Warren Buffet, who has preordered 10.

Only 2 I am afraid, my existing order with ShopTo from November and when I saw the Neon Joy-Con, I got a quick order in at Amazon for that one :)

I ordered the Special Edition Zelda from ShopTo which for somereason was only £75 and change, the Wii U version of Zelda to sit on the shelf sealed forever more, 1,2 Switch and MK8 Deluxe from Amazon to use the £10 off voucher and because I like the look of 1,2 and for £25 after the tenner off, it was easy to add it :)

I've decided that I'm out for the initial launch. I only want Zelda for the first few months, probably until Mario to be fair, so I can't really justify the £300+ it'll cost for that when I can get it for £40 on the Wii U. I reckon there'll be decent bundles by Xmas so we'll see what happens then.

Yeah, I put my preorder down on Zelda Wii U yesterday, I'm not yet convinced that I'll get much out of handheld gaming and the line up (and price) isn't pushing me to try it out on the Switch - which if there games were there is no doubt a great handheld device. I've not jumped on other handhelds by Nintendo (not since the original DS) so makes sense to wait till xmas.

I'll keep you all updated tho ;)

Don't, I was being sarcastic earlier so start pumping the brakes on the negativity there, Super Chief. Not sure why you sound quite so smug in announcing you're gonna play the inferior version of the best game ever while literally shackled to your TV. By all means, if money is tight or you're a small child without a birthday coming up, then you stick with the WiiU version. It'll do. Quality shines through. You'll get a flavour of the game. But post about in the the WiiU thread or Zelda thread because posting it in here, like a fucked up badge of honour, only serves to dull our substantial buzz. Or it would. If we were interested in what you and your unique set of circumstances can justify buying this year.

If rocket league was released on this, i'd 100% purchase. I however see that Psyonix have said they have no plans at this time (surprisingly...)

maybe once Nintendo explain how exactly the online is going to work they'll be able to reconsider, cos rocket league on the bus would be the shit

The people who buy the WiiU version will almost immediately regret their decision and fork out for a Switch before they finish the first dungeon. Therefore buying the WiiU version will work out more expensive in the long run. Don't just take my word for it, frugality Tsar Kirstie Allsop agrees.

Has it been mentioned if the Switch supports UHS-II MicroSD cards, by the way? They're waaaaaaay faster than UHS-I cards - the fastest Samsung Evos (UHS-I) are around 90MB/s read, but the Lexar UHS-II cards are over 140MB/s.

I mean, I know they'll work as they're backwards compatible, but will the Switch make use of the better interface?

Just ordered this micro SD card seems to be the fastest without paying stupid money.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Toshiba-Exceria-128GB-Micro-Memory/dp/B01EAKAUUK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1485338336&sr=8-1&keywords=toshiba+128gb+micro+sd

I ordered this one, which should be faster than that Samsung one and cheaper (I have to say I already own that Samsung one, it's in my Surface Pro 4 and it's fantastic) it's only £32.49 from Amazon but are OOS at the moment but i'd imagine they will restock quick.

I still wish the switch could accept SIM cards, but i guess hotspotting to your phone isn't really that much of a problem.

Are they always fully compatible? I've had cameras that don't support high capacity or high speed SD cards.  I don't mean they can't take advantage of the speed but that literally that the camera won't read the card.

If the device supports UHS-I, it supports UHS-II. Just not to it's full potential.

Issues in the past have been that there are SD, SDHC and SDXC cards - same form factor, but you can't use SDHC (typically 4GB+) or SDXC (typically 64GB+) in the older format devices. XC cards will work in HC devices, only not as fast, and will only work if you format them to certain file formats (e.g. fat32, not exFAT).
