They're announcing the online/digital stuff soon; it's pay to play online and they've not announced the pricing on that.

The whole mystery surrounding Nintendo's online plans, pricing and the plans on handling previous purchases does not give me confidence that whatever they reveal will be good news.

I hope I can play online without using the app. I read on the official site that the app can "improve" friend communications and matchmaking. It'd better be optional if you're not arsed about voice.

The pricing and restrictions could very well put me off of the console. First Nintendo need to sell it to me, then I have to fucking sell all this to my wife.

I'm almost certain the app will be optional. It'd alienate all the young kids who don't own a phone. It also allows parents to ensure they aren't communicating with people they shouldn't if they don't have a phone.

My fave Reggie moment was him angrily trying to argue to Geoff Keighley that the Wii U version Arkham Origins wasn't a port, but counted as  an entirely new game because Batman got some new gloves in it.

Him showing Geoff Cranky Kong and Geoff being all "is that it?" at the game awards was great as well.

People give Keighley a lot of stick but I've never seen anyone give Reggie anywhere near as hard a time as him.

Would being able to charge a small fee to upgrade eShop purchases benefit the small developers? Similar to the way Nintendo discounted VC titles on the Wii?

If the switch is as easy to port to as they say, the devs could have slow trickle of income from people upgrading.

This was an option for devs when moving from the Wii "eShop" to Wii U eShop. Nobody took them up on it.

I love Keighley, great guy, but I also love this photo. Perfectly summarises gaming this decade.

Incidentally, I saw some Rockstar energy drink cans with COD IW promotions on them, I'd never drink that nuclear horse piss but I looked at the can. For one purchase, you get double XP for a single match. One match.  This is on a game with regular entire 2XP weekends where I would literally play 100s of 2XP rounds. I found it laughable and tragic..hey kids, drink this poison and get barely anything for it. In fact, fannying about with the code probably takes almost as much time as knocking out a quick game and getting the XP normally.

The only thing worse would be if it was worth it.

Coloured confirmed if you pre-ordered before 1:30 on Saturday 14th, I think, it isn't the most clear wording.

Dear Customer,

We are pleased to inform you all customers who have pre-ordered the Grey Switch Console will be receiving the console for launch on 3rd March.

Unfortunately, the red/blue console is very short in the market so customers who ordered before Saturday 14th January at 1.30pm will be fulfilled. Pre-orders after this time will be after launch in the second wave, the date is unknown at this point.

If there are cancellations on either of the consoles, then the site will allow new orders to be made up to the pre-order allocation received from Nintendo.

Kind Regards,

The ShopTo Team

Pretty clear to me.

Also another game for launch day. Constructor from system 3. Comes out a few days earlier on PS4/xbox one and PC.

Oh and the Zelda version played on the show floor was labelled as "12S" while the version shown at the treehouse was 1.0.0. Could explain why it was very smooth and why the show floor one was a bit jittery in places.
