And not expenfusive!! For a fraction of a second I was tempted to get a extra pair of Joycons. In the end you get two extra controllers to properly play bomberman or Mario Kart battle mode with 3 friends. And it stops the need to taking the joycons off when playing on the tv. But I am already poor enough thanks. What are Nintendo like at getting things delivered for release date?

JimmytheMook
Preordered two of these. The missus is a Zelda fanatic and it's her birthday so that's a no brainer. I fancy having something better to play on the train to work now I've rinsed every decent tower defence game out there. A few games of Bomberman and Tetris will be grand. Plus some Zelda action of course.

You're making the assumption it's Android-based. There's nothing to suggest that's the case at the moment other than Tegra's association with Android devices, but it could just as easily be running a customised version of Linux. It doesn't mean it can't/won't be hacked though. 8 minutes ago, ph0rce said: What are Nintendo like at getting things delivered for release date? Their UK online store is run by TheHut. I don't consider them to be a particularly great company (I don't know if it's any different now, but returning an item to them used to be a pain in the arse), but they are pretty quick at getting stuff sent out. I don't think I've ordered anything for release day so I can't say how good they are at meeting that, but I'm pretty sure I remember some people getting the NES Mini a day before release.

Not Thread Owner
Has anyone got a clear photo of the bottom of the Switch? Because it looks like the USB C connector is recessed, meaning you CAN charge it when it's standing up and not in the dock.
DC Lemon
The more I hear and read 'joy-con', the more I think of synonyms like 'fun-swindle' and 'happiness-fraud'.
Barnard
I haven't got access to software to lighten the picture, but if I whack my phones brightness you can see that Nintendo have secured the wire with an L shaped connector. I reckon the vertical long part of the L shape is hiding the recess.

The only one that has really struck a chord with me so far is World of Goo. Miami is great, of course, but WoG is the only one I could mistake for a mainstream studio release. This is strange. When I play an indie game, I don't want it to be like a mainstream studio release. I want the opposite, in fact. You've missed out on the best games of this generation. Or in Spelunky's case, the best game of any generation.
