Not that anyone is going to actually buy a 1-2TB SD card anytime soon... but it's good for the future I suppose. Spoiler If you're worried that a 1-2TB SD card will be super expensive. You're right. But microSD cards prices drop insanely fast in a matter of years. In 2006 for instance, the 4gb microSD was released and originally cost $99. Within 3 years it cost about $6 online and $12 in store. A 512GB SDXC card cost $800 upon release in 2014, $400 in 2015, then dropped to $200 around late January 2016. The release of a these newer microSD cards will cause the price to tank further, possibly by another 50%, sometime this year. (This is a standard SD type, not micro, though.) Till then.. 64gb-128gb are the sweet spot for microSD card prices, so your best bet is getting one of them if you want some extra space. The reason people assumed it could only support up to 256gb is due to the fact that microSDXC (not standard SDXC) currently only has that capacity or less on the mass market. Watch your movie on TV, OOPS HAVE TO SHIT, take the screen out, watch while you do your poo-poo. Living in the future. For a fraction of a second I was tempted to get a extra pair of Joycons. In the end you get two extra controllers to properly play bomberman or Mario Kart battle mode with 3 friends.
