Let me tell you how pubs work over here. They're full of blokes and if you pulled out a 3DS you'd be instantly called into the car park for a fight. Tell them it's not a make-up vanity case you were grinning into before you lose your teeth, if you can.

Canadian pubs will be alright though.

Blue and red Switch looks BOSS.

Yeah the blue and red one looks great.

Nah Nintendo missed the boat.

Kimishima should've strutted on stage:

While Wiz Khalifa's "Black and Yellow", with the bass turned up to 11, was destroying the conference room.

And then after having announced Metroid Prime 4, Beyond Good & Evil 2, Bayonetta 3, Waverace, Binding of Isaac as launch titles and Breath of the Wild as a pack-in game, unveil the black and yellow edition for €250/£199

World domination annihilation.

It's just getting worse and worse.

- Poor launch lineup

- Ports of Wii U games

- Poor third party support

- This online phone app bullshit - and charging for it!

- Price

- "Have a free, 20+ year old game each month. But only for the month, then we're taking it off you unless you pay £8.99 for it"

- Poor battery life

- Waggle

It's like Nintendo live in some sort of weird, alternate reality and are thus oblivious to what people think and want.

I am so, so disappointed. :(

Yep, Nintendo are a bunch of cunts who just happen to also be geniuses who make some of the best games of all time

My new tactic in trying to get excited for this machine is to think of it as a successor to the Vita but with Nintendo support. Then I remember it doesn't have a d-pad in handheld mode and the thought of playing all 2d games with an analogue stick makes me want to vomit a little.

You're talking about the guy who plays love letter with his mates in the pub

LOL Fast Racing Neo RMX has thirty new tracks. Nice one Nintendo. <_<

Also confirmed for 1080p/60fps at all times.

All times? Surely not undocked.. no point in 1080p on a 720p screen.  Well there is, but not when you wanna conserve battery life.

Nice video from NXG, often preferable to the stiffs over at Digital Foundry.

Pretty much agrees with how I feel about it, that despite how they're positioning it, this is Nintendo's bid to differentiate themselves from the competition and move solely into the handheld market. It's being marketed as the opposite of course but this is first and foremost a handheld device.

Imagine, playing mario kart in the pub.

I NEED ONE OF THESE

That was at the forefront of my mind when I saw this setup.

Towards the end of the show I managed to have three session straight after one another, without queuing, and found it brilliant calling out to other players to find out who had red shelled you. The little sly looks and winks you got from other people were fantastic.

No obviously it's not going to do those things while in portable mode. I was referring to the docked mode and how during gameplay it apparently never goes under those numbersss.

In reality no one is going to take their Switch to the pub. No one.

Not on a Friday night bender. But summer days in the pub garden with the kids is going to be glorious.

(Even with the one machine. Joycons FTW!)

Nah, I can't think of anything worse to be honest. Pubs are for drinking and socialising. Once I walk through that door I want everything else in my life to disappear for a couple of hours.

Your own kids in pub gardens don't disappear. Sadly.

I don't think the Switches at the preview shows were real hardware. I reckon the boxes on the underneath of every Switch had the actual processing units in.

I've just noticed the boxes on the Mario Kart table had a label on the back. I wished I'd sneaked a close up.
