The 2DS is a 3DS without the crippling form factor or visual gimmick. Yes it's a simplified hardware revision, but unlike its other family members its designed for human beings to use.

Man, just think for the last year the people who have been moaning about Nintendo not releasing info - they need to build hype!!

 

I could not be more hyped. So fucking glad they didn't show it all off at E3 last year.

Yeah, looks like it wasn't launch, although it was out in Japan before the system launched in Europe.
