Still nothing, some people saying they got an email almost immediately after registering but seems like a lot of people haven't got any email confirmation as things stand.

They're usually not the cheapest though. Besides, there's a Bart Smit within walking distance where I live. Usually I just pick stuff up there when grocery shopping at the Albert Heijn next door.

First Free Record Shop went under then Dixons and now all we have left is an Intertoys and a Bart Smit. Hold me Nap.

I loved how promising the Free Record Shop sounded to British people hearing about it. In reality it should have been called "Most Expensive Record Shop" to avoid allegations of false advertising.

I never understood how GameMania is able to survive this long and why people continue shopping there. It's like the 'Game' of the Netherlands and Belgium - all the fun horror stories in the Game thread here usually apply to GameMania too.

 

Albert Heijn actually started selling games for a bit a while back. I mean, other than budget casual PC games for the elderly. Proper console games. They had Call of Duty lying next to the Smints and Snickers near the checkout, but I guess it wasn't profitable for Mr Heijn because they stopped doing that pretty quickly.

I'd be surprised if  Super Mario was a launch title. We don't even know the name of it yet, right? 6 months from hearing about it for the first time to actually being able to buy it seems... unlikely. It's Nintendo we're talking about here. They'll have to launch the console with something big if they want it to hit the ground running; I for one will wait until the Mario or Zelda title is available before plonking down any cash, although I never had a Wii U and barely touched my 3DS so I expect to be grateful for any ports that come my way too.

I don't see Mario Switch happening on launch unfortunately.
