Apparently the Mario and Rabbid mash up is Gameexplains rumoured title. Well, that was an anti-climax! :( Bah.

I was thinking what game I'd most like to see released with the Switch as my dream second launch title? You've got to grab a second title alongside Mario right? Well for me it would be a brand new (though traditional!) Ridge Racer. That would be absolutely amazing.

What would others most wished for second title be?

What if... the Switch tablet could still wirelessly stream to the dock, so would still work like a Wii U if necessary?

I do hope that's possible. It'd be good to retain that dual-screen functionality, even if it was just so Wii U games could be easily ported.

We'd never get a launch F-Zero, pretty much why I ruled that and Pilotwings out. At the present rate we won't see either of them ever! Same for Metroid. In a similar dimension you could just about imagine a new RR as a launch title. Surely Nintendo tapped up Namco for something?

Perhaps the Waverace RUMOUR is true. That would be an amazing second launch title.

Hasn't Nintendo confirmed that it has to be docked to play on your TV?  Especially since all of the processing is coming from the handheld.  Streaming the device to the TV and having it display a 2nd screen would just be a further drain on battery life.

Also, it's possible the dock overclocks the hardware allowing it to run more efficiently on the TV for slightly better visuals or performance when docked, since there is no concern for battery life when docked.

So this seems unlikely.  Especially since they don't want devs to feel dual-screen is too essential, like with the Wii U.  Devs just ended up ignoring it mostly.

That would be a bit redundant given that it's already got (essentially) a fast, multi-core version of the Wii CPU with some extra memory. I don't doubt that they'll have left some stuff in there to maintain compatibility but the Wii CPU never got so small that you would want to build one into the Wii U CPU. Even when they put a PSone into the PS2 it was as a discrete component.

From Wikipedia

The Latte graphics chip contains both a "GX2" GPGPU, which runs Wii U applications, and a "GX" GPU, which enables backward compatibility with Wii games. The GX2, designed by AMD, is based on the Radeon R600/R700 architecture and is clocked at approximately 550 MHz.[78][80][note 1]
