Given the exchange rate, that's pretty good. Kinda depends on what you get in the box, though. I'm guessing the cradle thing and the grippy things are included?

PS4 controllers are pretty much 50 quid everywhere I've seen them.

Have you even looked? They're £37 at Amazon and have been cheaper in the past. I keep hearing "£50 for a second controller is ridiculous" but controller prices haven't been that high in ages.

They were £50 in Game last week. Sure, places are cheaper, but then places will be less than £40 for the Switch pad too (assuming £40 is correct, which is currently isn't).

Yeah, let's all use Game as the standard for how expensive things are. Despite the fact they're consistently the most expensive place for anything. Controllers are not £50 everywhere; they're a lot cheaper elsewhere.

OK. The RRP for a Dualshock 4 is £49.99. It may be cheaper elsewhere, but that's it RRP. If the Switch controller has an RRP of £40, it will probably be cheaper elsewhere as well.

Amazon prices are up and down like something rude; last time I looked there, they were 50 quid; YMMV.

 

Edit: 50 quid for anything other than black, just now. We're both right! For 'RRP', 40-50 quid is around the mark, which was the original question.

According to Measuring Worth £130 is now the equivalent of £175-£215.

 

So it's pretty much aligned with the GC in 2002.

It was mad cheap, I remember when it came out I was one of the PCMR types, I am shame, so had no interest in it until I saw it at work on launch day that cheap - I bought one with SMB and when I got the usual death stares I didn't even have to fib about the price or anything!

 

Of course I had to get shot of it fairly quickly and get a JP one!! It kept me on consoles, had it been the usual 300 quid I don't think I would have bought one and I could still have been one of them
