@Azrael @StanleyAccording to the Nintendo USA page it's 1-4 player, but single system.   I hope that isn't the case, but Nintendo.

I had thought a Nintendo Direct might happen next week as there’s talk of the next Mario kart 8 dlc announcing on the 17th. Guess we’re not seeing one if they’re announcing this solo of anything else.

I miss out on those N64 controllers every time. The Switch N64 service is shite at the min with the forced controls they have, I probably would never have subscribed if I’d known how poor their control layout was. 
 

i bet the majority of the controllers are already on eBay for £150

There are adapters out there so you can just use any old N64 controller.

All this stress with trying to order a bluetooth controller for software emulation over a flatscreen display. In terms of latency alone the only way you could possibly worsen that chain is to consume large amounts of alcohol prior to playing.

Got my Switch today. Why do I have to redownload again all the demos and free games that have no reason to be tied to a specific device? That's 200GB worth of stuff all on the microSD already. All have to be redownloaded again. WTF

 

went to the eshop redownload section, they don't even have the full list of my downloads. Grrrr

You don’t have to redownload anything you don’t want to.
 

Re: missing games — did you buy anything from another region? I had some missing stuff and then realised I’d bought stuff from Russia, RSA and NZ, had to change region, log in to those stores and download.

All the demos are missing. In the end I used the old fashioned way of comparing with the grid on the Lite and going into the eshop on the new device manually 😅. Left it overnight, we're 10% of the way there

You have to use the official power pack for starters and it has to use HDMI I think. I have an adapter similar to this one which does the job when travelling and connecting to my work monitor.

Thanks, got the portable monitor working now. Switch PSU to the monitor, monitor to the Switch. As soon as it connects the controls stop working though, unless I disconnect.  Which wouldn't be a big issue, except I just tried my Xbone and XSX controllers, and neither work! Thought the latter would be recongised natively via bluetooth.

 

I'll have to buy a 3rd party or Pro Switch controller, don't I
