Not a bad thing surely? I'd rather they did a seperate direct then stick it in the main direct which is totally coming soon.

Although i do wonder if Nintendo will be having multiple directs like this over the coming week or so. They could easily dedicate 20 minutes to Splatoon 3 or BOTW2 for example.

Personally I'd prefer the "Direct" branding was for the sort of mixed content announcement stuff. Show me lots of stuff. Tickle my taste buds and appeal to a wide audience. I hear "Direct" and I get excited (and used to know I could take a break for a coffee through the Smash Bros character announcement). I hear <insert game here> Direct and I think it should just go on YouTube without the fanfare.

There's no real reason for that other than that I don't really see single game videos as interesting and therefore just dump them on YouTube and move on. But that's because I cannot think of any game I really want to see more than a couple of minutes of in presentation form. I'm sure many people love seeing 10-20 minutes of a new game but most are just a look at what you expect/know already.

To be clear this isn't just because it's XB (although that contributes). This could be a new 3D Mario or BOTW2 and I'd feel the same.

Yeah I get that. To be honest I think i agree - they should do a big mixed direct and then these bigger directs for individual games after.

Edited. Sorry, I just thought people would know it wasn't a full fat FE.

Thank you I’ve been after this and it’s sold out everywhere - great find :)

edit. And it’s sold out, of course it has!

btw there are strong rumours Nintendo have another Fire Emblem in the wings ie the normal turn based ones.

It seems there are a few key Nintendo people overseeing the games but yes, I hadn't realised it was mostly Koei Tecmo.

Yeah they'll have a producer and some senior roles in place but otherwise the musou games are all KT, so essentially they're freebies resource wise. Hard to hate on them for existing, they plug gaps rather than push other titles further out.

Sure, I wasn't being entirely serious - more a reflection of how turgid I find these games - of course if others manage to find some slim level of fulfilment from these joyless husks of entertainment then more power to them. Winky smiley etc.

There are some leaked screenshots on the web that are *apparently* from a new proper Fire Emblem game. There's nothing much to see apart from some character models, but the main character has red and blue hair if that floats your boat. The rumours suggest it has been finished for quite some time but take it all with a Dekay siren.

Wondered if anyone else is having this issue. Basically, the Switch can't control my TV anymore. Tried disabling and enabling Match TV Power State, maybe works once then stops again. On my TV it's not listed under CEC devices.

All my other devices do this fine (PS5, PS3, Apple TV). Power them on and the TV switches to the correct input. Just not the bloody Switch.

Tried a different cable, no joy. Anyone else had this?
