This is going to be closer to 300 quid methinks.  It's a home console and a mobile combined.  Take current WiiU price and current 3DS price - combine them together and add new tech to make it cool.

However - I suspect they'll have a very strong pack in game with it.

350 with Mario Galaxy hd, zelda and Luigis mansion 2

im so in it hurts

But there already was a Luigi's Mansion 2! And a third game, Luigi's Mansion arcade. I think it mostly reuses locations from 2, though.

I'd play another, though. I'm in on NX no matter what it is because it will have games developed by Nintendo on it. I doubt I'll be disappointed.

What if you can buy the portable part for £180 and the home console for £280?

You can have either or both. The only benefit of having both is that you can crossplay everything and use the portable for off-screen play just like the WiiU Gamepad. Maybe you can get both together in a limited set for a very small discount.

That would tie in with the insider sketch.

I have very little need for a portable nowadays. 95% of my handheld gaming is done at home. Maybe that figure is the other way around for most people in Japan.

I don't expect to pay less than £250.

What it seems to be certain with all the rumours:

A portable (but probably not pocket size) that can run games at near PS4 quality with a 720p screen.

It does not sound like £200 to me, more like £300 to be honest, and that is not even including the supposed dock.

The NX is coming into a world among new consoles, VR headsets, ipads, phones and online subscriptions all sucking money from its core audience. It's primarily going to be (at least) a secondary gaming device, and cannot come in anywhere near £300 to stand a chance at mass market penetration.

Basic device for £200 or Wii U wilderness beckons.

I think the reason a low price is credible is that Nintendo have said a couple of times that the price of Wii U was a problem.   So they'll be looking at something cheaper for NX.

Bollocks theory:  Maybe NX is an OS primarily and they release it for Wii U as well.   You'll need a little cart reader dongle.   There'll be a new model of Wii U (hence no more shipments) with the cart slot built in - this is the Tesco thing.    All NX games are written in some sort of byte code which is recompiled natively on the hardware.   So they can make multiple hardware devices all compatible with a base level of performance set at approx Wii U level.

They also said they'd learned from the marketing mistakes on WiiU. One week later;

Yep.  Tesco have leaked the NX Wii U.  A hybrid home console/portable console/tablet/3DS skin printing machine.  £4 and comes with a packet of skips but no power leads included and none to purchase either.  You have to use a PSU from a Spectrum +2.  Snail game is built in to the console.  DLC for every game is fixed at £99.  The account system requires sending a self-addressed envelope to Reggie to set up.  No passwords, you have to create your own waggle signature with a Wiimote.  There will be the option of purchasing 7 other controller types.  They all hook up to a Wiimote bar one, for which you'll need a GC adapter and a Rock band adapter.  Comes out on Monday, exclusively in Tesco and Lidl.

The worrying thing is that I probably have a Spectrum +2 PSU in the house
