I certainly won't be an early adopter of the NX, but I am excited about it.  It's still one of the best things in gaming to see new Mario games, especially on new hardware.

Otherwise it's the common level of critical opinion most companies, products, people are subjected to, and given Nintendo's perplexing post-Wii activity, they deserve it.

£350 is £150 too much. That puts them up against the top of the range Ps4 and Xbone.  Kids who buy into their handhelds are priced out, family and casuals are priced out and those who spend that much on their consoles are Sony and MS customers not the market Nintendo have any sway in.

 

Obviously have not learned their mistake from over pricing the WiiU

In case you didn't know, kernow's main hobby (apart from collecting photos of Morrisey) is spending hundreds of pounds on a couple of Neo Geo games.

 

He has to get the bitterness of his expensive, yet shallow, gaming experiences out somehow. Trolling the NX thread is one of them as it reminds him too much of the company that ultimately destroyed his beloved SNK.

 

He would be trolling the Sega themed threads, a similar 90s nemesis of SNK, but alas NEG already dominates these threads already and it would literally two old farts argueing about which was best: Sonic or King of Fighters.

That's assuming the placeholder price is correct, and I'm confident it isn't.

I think £199 is the magic price point. Anything over £200 suddenly seems expensive to my eyes.

I wonder if it might be available as a handheld portion only or the whole thing with a dock (console).

 

One thing i do find strange is Nintendo have always made their handhelds kid friendly. A PSP Vita style handheld might just be a bit too delicate. Mind, most kids use ipads and they are just as expensive,,

Nintendo hardware is always expensive, If they're still trying to flog the 'New' 3DS for £180 then this one has got to be £250+ bare minimum surely.

The pricing on it is going to be tough, if Wii was £170 and this thing has a screen in it, I can't see it being less than £200.
