I can’t imagine Nintendo will shadow drop anything significant that’s first party because they have to sell the physical edition, too.

 

Aside from Smash and AC seasonal content, I reckon we’ll see Zelda anniversary remasters, Metroid anniversary remasters, the new resident evil revelations game that’s heavily rumoured and maybe something else - a new entry in an old franchise.

I doubt we'll see Revelations 3. It's rumoured to be next year and they're gonna want to have all attention on Resi Village before release.

You never know, they announced Mario 3D Allstars 2 weeks before release, so it’s possible, as close to a shadow drop as you can get anyway.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe might be selling 30 million plus but as a sequel it’s barely a step up from Mario Kart 8 on the wiiu.

More than any other company, Nintendo has coasted through this generation selling lazy ports at full value when Microsoft and Sony have been doing the same and charging less for their remakes because they have AAA games as their main cash cow.

 

Unless you have shares in Nintendo, you should be demanding more from them.

Maybe. But Village isn’t coming to switch as we know it so maybe they’ll do a double whammy!

This was in Australia, TM's were registered last year, in the pending phase.

If they're explicitly saying it's only Smash plus games coming in the next four and a half months, then I think we're going to get an awful lot of discussion of very little Smash content because they always make a meal out of that, followed by full trailers for some already-announced games like Bravely 2, Apex Legends, and Monster Hunter, and a montage of a dozen or so more. I wouldn't be surprised if no new releases were announced at all.
