More footage of the new Ghosts 'n Goblins from a stream:

Shows off two possible first stages, if I'm not mistaken - each drawing inspiration from a different game. They look beautiful and seem to play really nicely! I love that Arthur's "key frames" are essentially the same as ever - I'd argue the new art style is capturing a lot more than it is discarding...

I don’t like how the running animation looks in 2020. I get that it’s an intentional throwback but it looks like he’s moving through quicksand.

Dunno if this is of interest to anyone, but some early hardware stuff leaked (click through to the thread). It seems the Switch was originally planned as a 3DS successor, significantly less power than the Switch, 480p screen, 3D support, backwards compatibility with 3DS, streaming to the TV instead of docking.

A lot of this seems to have been reworked to have more of a home console focus after the Wii U was a failure (these docs are from like 2013 when they were still trying to give it a push).

New Genki Kickstarter this time for a hdmi to usb-c adapter so you can use your laptop as a gaming monitor.

I loved their Bluetooth adapter (worked perfectly with my switch and Sony headphones) although I doubt I have much need for this. Some of you may though especially with various family members competing for screen time during COVID.

Could you use this to connect it to a telly and save faffing about with another dock and so on?

Was briefly confused by the lack of Paradise Killer here, then remembered I almost entirely played that using a guest account (demo'd it to my bubble-mate on a separate profile to avoid losing track of my actual save, only for us to get hooked on it as a co-op crime-solving experience and so ploughing through on that profile).

(of course, the real irony here is that the game at the top of that list is, by a significant margin, my least favourite of the four on display)

Now my daughter has a Switch, the most disappointing thing is the removal of the game share feature (download play) from the days of the DS. Was great buying a single cart and playing local multiplayer in two systems.

The cost of first party games on the Switch makes it unfeasible to get two of each game.
