Genuinely miss the tactile nature of the combat in SS, bombs were the only things that gave me trouble. The only backtracking I minded was tadpoles, everything else reused old areas in interesting ways. It has some great dungeons and bosses, and of course Groose. It's magnificent game, and I will die on this hill.

SS can retain the same controls for TV. It used motion plus for relative movement, even pointing. I believe the Switch still has that.

I finally finished SS during the confinement, and I enjoyed it a lot, despite the constant waggle, which can die in a fire as far as I'm concerned.

If this is going to be released for the Switch, I'll get it, but I hope for a Switch Lite mode without motion controls.

BoTW 2 should steal timestones. All games should steal timestones.

A 1000 times this, timestones are awesome, and SS is a great Zelda game

Removing waggle from Skyward Sword. Brought to you by the same furnace of takes that forged: adding strafing to Resident Evil 4.

I said option

But as highlighted earlier SS had some great dungeon design, a lovely graphical aesthetic and well divisive controls.

I'd pay good money to enjoy the former two in handheld mode without the latter - its not as if the whole game can't survive without a cheap gimmick for controlling your sword

(Resi 4 would probably have benefitted from strafing)

Any suggestions for good arcade sticks for the switch would be appreciated.

I've never found joypads sufficiently precise for playing shootemups and suddenly feel the need to remove this excuse for me being crap at most modern ones. Is there anything decent to be had for around 30 odd quid?

Do you already own one for another console? If so, you could buy a Mayflash Magic NS or similar for under £30.

Unfortunately the last 'proper' joysticks I owned were for my atari ste. Was never a big enough beatemup or shootemup aficionado to invest in one for my consoles (maybe their D pads weren't as terrible as the switch ones) so literally starting from 'microswitches are better than bubble switches' levels of ignorance when it comes to picking up something decent now.
