Nintendo Switch

Wild World was a lot of people’s first AC game but they’re hardly going to do something special for that. I don’t know what the chart is meant to say except “Nintendo sure did release a lot of games”.

New Nintendo financials are out, basically everything prints money and they’ve crossed the 60m mark on Switch hardware.

AC Wild World did come out in 2005. The series itself is at least 19 years old though going by the release of the original game in Japan (hit our shores sometime in 2003 i think).

Late 2004.

It was one of the first games I ever considered importing. By the time of the PAL release, the DS version was already announced and I figured I’d wait for that. :/

Which is why Nintendo don’t use the term cloud save to describe it. They very clearly say it’s a backup and explain it isn’t for syncing, just for if your Switch is broken or lost.

A question about this (not sure if it's know).  While the blurb specifically only mentions broken or lost, what happens if you simply buy a new switch?  Decide you want a Lite after having an original model, or just want a funky new special edition.  Can you restore your island to a new Switch this way?  Or is there already a method to do this?

Animal Crossing: New Horizons does not support the ability to transfer your save file from one Nintendo Switch console to another. However, a function specific to Animal Crossing: New Horizons to move users and save data to another console is planned in the future.

PAL release was 2003. *UK* release was late 2004.

But yeah, like everyone else I got the US version in 2002.

Hyrule Warriors is brilliant value already, especially so at that price, it's not just a quick and dirty Wii U port - it's kind of an HD remaster of sorts of the 3DS game as well and includes all the dlc of both games, And they reworked and improved some stuff. An absurdly huge amount of stuff in that game.   It's a perfect palate cleanser or podcast game but with that Nintendo polish and charm that such games usually lack.

Also, weirdly, it runs at 1080p in portable mode, I don't know of any other game that does this. Which affects the framerate a bit but looks really really crisp.

So so tempting. I traded in my Xbox one as I never played it for the following games:

-Darksiders Genesis

-Luigis mansion 3

-Mario tennis aces

-a hat in time

-Bloodstained

Thats a list to work through but so tempting to add bayonetta and hyrule warriors to that pile of to be played games...

My Contact cleaner arrived and it seems to have done the trick with my Joycon although I feel it will probably be a temporary fix.

In my experience you'll be able to get another 6 months out of it before it gets too annoying.

Looks like street fighter anniversary got a price drop..

Been £49.99 for the six weeks I've had switch. Now £24.99.

It was always cheaper on Ps4. My Ps4 is broken and sold. Last month or so.

I'm going to pick this up later.

Am I alone in loving SFIV?  That absolutely rocks on the 360 - and is probably one of my fav versions ever. I’d like that please.

You should only have to spray it every 6 months or so.

The problem seems to be tiny bits of funk getting stuck under the cover and even with a 10 year old playing it every day, it still only needs a spray every 6 months or so.

Yep, I have an 8 year old that plays the Switch every where all the time and I know she is the likely culprit for causing the issue in the first place. Good to hear it should last 6 months at least.

Apolgies as I know this has been asked a 100 times.

My joycon has just developed drift. Its about 18 months old - I assume Nintendo won't fix it?

They will, but they'll probably charge you for it.

You have two options really, grab some cleaner stuff ( type mentioned up thread ) or buy replacemetn sticks and fit them, they're pretty easy if you take your time, and also reasonably cheap.
