Excited for Shinsekei - the Edge review of the Apple Arcade version was very promising. Good Job looks quite fun as well, and the 51 tabletop game compendium might be good for local co-op.

The rest, though - eh. Lots of ports of older games I can already buy quite cheaply. I know it's only a 'mini' direct, but they need to announce at least one full fat new game for later this year.

Yeah bit underwhelming. Practically already knew all that stuff but considering it was a "mini" i will let them off.

The next direct needs to be something amazing. Whether that's around "e3" time or sooner, because the rest of the year is looking very sparse.

I love Burnout Paradise. But I don't need it on Switch now. Maybe in a sale for the novelty.

The Animal Crossing, Smash and Ring Fit updates were most exciting.

Good Job and Ninjala on my radar.

Good job looked so fun!

I'm probably going to be in for the 51 game suite as well - the toy tennis game sold me.

Christ. You lot are never happy.

I have plenty of stuff to keep me occupied on Switch at least until Xenoblade Remastered is out, so I'm pretty happy.

I do think the release schedule is rather odd though, particularly when you remember Animal Crossing was originally a 2019 release. If Animal Crossing hadn't been delayed to avoid crunch (hey, that's what they said) then they'd have put out no major games in the six months between Pokémon and Xenoblade. Other than, what, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon remaster? That can't have been the plan.

You're easily pleased :hat:

Or, I don't get upset if an announcement doesn't do exactly what I want. I mean no direct today and people would have been OK. A direct with stuff in it, "god, that's disappointing"

It's news, I'm just not the kind of person that can see any game releases as a negative thing. We have more than we had yesterday - regardless of if I like them, I take that as a positive.

I'm more games = good, I'm not more games (but not that I will buy) = bad.

Ninjala looks superb! I instantly got a Power Stone vibe, but then got a lot more intrigued by the thought of 4v4. And F2P, which while potentially unbalancing at least ensures a constant stream of players. I'll also more than likely be buying Panzer Dragoon (again), Borderlands (again), Burnout Paradise (again) XCOM 2 (again), and unquestionably getting Good Work! Considering I only knew about the Direct about 3 seconds before starting to watch it, I can't see why anyone is finding reasons to complain.

I think it's more a case of ... more Nintendo games = awesome, but (please correct me if I'm wrong here) literally zero Nintendo games were revealed in this Nintendo Direct, the first in over 200 days. It's all rather quiet.

Is this why it was called a mini?

Good Job is a Nintendo game.

Expansions to Smash, Animal Crossing and Ring Fit are all Nintendo too.

BREAKING NEWS!!!!!

From the only Twitter leaker who deserves credence:

She correctly announced the E3 cancellation about a day before it broke.

There's a NSFW joke involving sex workers and leaks somewhere....

Just pointing out this was at least HALF right.
