Got a review code for this. Will be jumping in after the weekend. Never played the previous titles, but looks intriguing.

It's a proper old school release. It was apparently completed on the PS3 but never released after the 2011 earthquake. Even back then it was quite a dated game. But the running and screaming from collapsing buildings is a lot of fun.

I know I’m being a div but I’m really struggling with profiles atm.
have 1 main profile where I do all purchases and all the kids use it too.  They don’t have own profiles.
Just bought minecraft and can’t seem to play split screen without another different profile that has its own online account - what am I missing?

i set up a second user profile but can’t link to existing main account and I’m literally loosing my mind.

Come on you lot - I bet you all know the answer...

Multi/switch question that I’m hoping someone can answer...

I’ve got a full size switch and tomorrow I’m picking up a lite. Myself and the two kids have profiles on the main switch.

If they both want to play Animal crossing at the same time I believe I need to buy a copy for each machine. Presumably if I’m buying digital it needs to be done on two different profiles. I’m making the assumption that you can’t buy the same game twice with the same profile but not 100% sure of that.

But... can the kids swap switches and still get access to their own save? Or do they need to stick to the switch they first play it on?

Can anyone recommend some good multiplayer games we can play with a 7 year old boy and a 4 year old girl? For the 4 year old, happy to just give her an unplugged controller  We already have MarioKart.

would hidden in plain sight be too difficult for a 7 year old? Is super smash bros any good?

My newly acquired Spice Orange joy cons have started to play up. I only noticed it though when going onto the eShop; it scrolls on its own down to the very bottom of the game titles.

I opened it up and cleaned around the stick with isopropyl alcohol, and although better it still does it. I've not paid any attention previously, but what do others do to fix this? Squirt WD40 around the base of the stick?

Am I right in thinking Animal Crossing doesn't do cloud saves and ergo if I became a fancy Dan with a Switch Lite for commuting while I keep the original at home it would be impossible/a faff to have the same save game going?

Saves aren't transferable.

But due to lack of cloud support in Animal Crossing presumably it will be a faff?

I also wonder if it will somehow differentiate the purchase of the two AC purchases (which would be very Nintendo) and still have issues with the whole thing of a user not being able play another users games when it’s not the primary switch.

Overcooked - currently on sale for £6 the first one is the best IMO.

WD40 contact cleaner, NOT the standard stuff!

Lift up the wee rubber flap under the stick with some tweezers, give it a good blast and then gently rotate the stick for 30 seconds to a minute.

I might have to try this although I can’t identify the rubber flap...

I posted earlier about the faulty joycon with stick drift (like it was pressed down) and Nintendo will repair/replace it but I was worried we wouldn’t get it back for ages with everything going on so I bought another pair on Thursday. Used them this weekend and the left joycon drifts to the right! What the fuck is wrong with these things? So frustrating.

I pretty much did that, with the stick outside of the shell, and with isopropyl alcohol.

Just below the stick head, although it is all black it is two different materials (at the base of the shaft). One is soft and rubbery, you can get a cotton bud head under this.

Yep, it's really fucking stupid, making things worse for everyone because they somehow I care if someone else cheats.

The worst part is, it DOES do cloud saves they just won't let you have access to them unless your switch dies.

I will see if can exchange them otherwise I’ll give it a go, thanks. 2 days they had been used, and only a couple of hours

Switch online question – decided to finally plump for online due to son begging for ages. Now schools are closed, I've decided to relent, so he can swap pokemon with his mates and play Splatoon.

I logged in as myself and bought the subscription (£17.99), and handed my sone the switch. Then he logged in as himself, and it's asking him for his Nintendo account details.

Should I have bought a family subscription? Have I just wasted 18 knicker?

Should have bought *him* the sub. You can upgrade to a family one though.

My daughter has a switch, as does her sister and I have one too.

Any idea why when she logs in to the eshop  she sees a different price for a game? We're all UK accounts. I see Pocket Mini Golf at the sale price of 89p. She sees a price of £1.79.

No idea why. Any suggestions? Nothing looks out of place in her settings.

A friend wants a switch for her birthday but they are as rare unicorn shit. Do they ever come in stock anywhere? Are Nintendo even supplying them?

Lites are everywhere but full phat is nowhere to be seen.

My nephew’s arrived last week. Very nice! The build quality is clearly improved over my launch model, no creeks and the home button is larger.

We both have animal crossing thanks to game sharing :)

It is when you face a level X player, eh? Did you roll over a level again at 99*? Find it hard to believe you're only 9* - I'm at something like 88*.

I haven't been checking out the plaza posts since this kicked off; must give it a looksee when I play Clam Blitz tonight!

I may have left it at 99 for ages in the hope it gave everyone in my lobbies a false sense of security. ^_^

Along with the hundreds of hours spent playing Salmon Run.
