If your saves are backed up to the cloud, you should be able to get them from there. @Shimmyhill

Hmm, what about games I’ve bought digitally can I just get them again or are they tied to the console and need to be transferred ?

The situation I don’t want is to end up with two accounts across two systems with separate saves and games lists...

BREAKING NEWS!!!!!

From the only Twitter leaker who deserves credence:

She correctly announced the E3 cancellation about a day before it broke.

There's a NSFW joke involving sex workers and leaks somewhere....

We never play the Switch on the TV, so I am tempted to swap ours for a Switch Lite. How much am I looking realistically having to pay out? Guessing not the sort of thing anyone would be up for a straight swap.

I wouldn't bother. All it means is that you have a smaller Switch with no rumble or easily replaceable parts and less controllers for when you want to play on a single joy con.

I could understand if it was someone commuting a lot who is the only person who uses it but as you have kids it's probably not worth it. You'd lose tabletop mode etc as well.

As @Strafe says, you're only losing functionality by doing this.

Anyone else having issues connecting to the servers? I can't get into the eShop or Pokemon Sword online.

Yes, me. It also shows one of my friends as online even though he isn’t, so I wonder if it’s not just the eShop but Nintendo’s infrastructure in general.

Nonsense.

You gain -

Different form factor that might be more comfortable for you and is of a more durable and ridged constrictions.

It's smaller and less cumbersome and lighter so far more comfortable over longer sessions. It's almost more inviting to pick up and play.

It's got a brighter screen with better white balance.

The screen appears sharper due to it's smaller size with the same resolution as the larger Switch.

It's a faster chip.

It's got longer battery life.

It's got a good D-pad.

I own both, and use both with my single account. The Switch Lite is my primary one that I use away from home as it's small and light and ideal for that. The large one stays at home and it's two biggest advantages are a larger screen and the ability to dock.

If someone has an OG Switch, and wants an nicer more suited to portable gaming form factor and isn't bothered about connecting to the TV then I'd say go for it!

It’s not “nonsense”, it’s a quite logical opinion. You don’t have to agree with it - and indeed present a more ambiguous counter point - but you don’t have to dismiss it like that.

I'm maybe a bit aggro there yeah, but I just think saying that the Switch Lite is just like the OG with some features cut is maddeningly lazy.

I think that description is basically what Nintendo’s description is, hence the lower price.

Edit @Yasawas might be announced in this later today

Don’t lend credence to my dreams! it’ll only hurt the more.

I did think at first it might get a mention but surely Microsoft would hang on to that for something of theirs. Looking forward to this thing regardless.

Maybe the e shop is down because they’re prepping a shadow drop of breath of the wild 2 and Metroid prime 4 in the indie direct.

Could yiou imagine it? Half , if not 3/4 of this forum would be self isolating without even being asked !!
