Here's a baffling thing.

Last night I realised my powerline wifi point thing was only running with WPA not WPA2. Found a firmware upgrade (from 2011!), applied it, and now it's WPA2. My phone connected right away, my Google Home needed reconnecting, some other stuff worked immediately, some didn't, whatever.

My Switch was fine. However, my daughter's Switch Lite wouldn't connect. So I deleted the network on it and tried to connect again - but I can't. The network is greyed out and won't let me choose it. Any ideas why?

EDIT: it's WPA2-PSK in case that matters

Regarding Switch shortages, apparently that's down to the Corona Virus and the fact a lot of factories/businesses are closed in China.

There have been shortages since October, so unlikely that's the cause. It's affecting the AC special edition, but there was a general shortage anyway.

CHina is operating at around 80% at the moment . Logistics are at normal levels, Electronics manufacture has seen some shortfall, but many PCBA manufacturers/heatsinks/metalwork will resume next week. It's more resturants/hotels/entertainment paces that are hit.

No, Nintendo stated earlier this month shortages are expected because of the Coronavirus outbreak. They're getting scarce worldwide at the minute - Japan's Switch sales dropped from 100K a week to around 40K this week because of it.

This doesn't explain the shortages since October.

Question that's been asked loads of times before but is it just a standard USB C cable needed to charge this thing? I've got quite a powerful power bank that I hope will be able to give the Switch some extra life on a flight I've got this weekend but don't have a charging cable

Yeah, that should be fine. I’ve done the same many times.

So after nearly a year to the day (I submitted stuff on the 1st March 2019) I finally got a reply from Nintendo about bringing Shudder to the Switch.

"We would kindly ask you to wait until development for the platform becomes available for a broader range of developers."

So that's that, I guess. Sorry, guys, but I tried.

Eh? How does that make sense? Some of the drivel that gets added is pure shovelware :(

I know. I'm tempted to resubmit it with a picture of an Anime girl on the logo. Sure to get accepted then...

Seriously, though, I think it's because I have no publisher.

Never mind. splitting my time on my new game and porting Shudder to Xbox at the moment,

The left joycon on the brand new Switch I bought about five months ago is already drifting. The durability of these sticks is dreadful. I equipped weapons in Breath of the Wild that lasted longer than these fecking analogue sticks. I fear for anyone who bought a Switch Lite.

It's been mentioned before, but WD40 Fast Drying Contact Cleaner works amazingly well. I had cause myself to use it myself this weekend on a left joycon. Fixed that, then I tried it on sticky joycon buttons and it fixed that, then I tried it on a USB controllers buttons and it fixed that, and my Paypoint card stopped working in my gas meter so I sprayed some on there and it fixed that. At this stage, thinking of trying it out on the coronavirus.

And did you do it just by lifting up the stick?
