Theres that Mutant Year Zero, not played it though, and obviously Mario Rabbids.

I played Mutant Year Zero on Xbox One and it is very good indeed. Not sure on the Switch port but well worth checking out.

Mario and Rabbids is a top tier game and should be in everyone’s collection.

Opinions and arseholes etc.

However Mario Rabbids, imo whilst it’s brilliantly presented and a great crossover the actual turn based mechanics are fairly basic and frustrating at times. I struggled to make it through. Worth it for under £20 if you’re a fan of the genre though.

If you ordered one of the gorgeous Animal Crossing Switches from the Nintendo UK store, I hope you pre-ordered it before last Wednesday, as any preorders from 12th Feb onwards are now delayed from March 20th (the game’s release day) to April 17th. Covid-19 supply chain related perhaps?

I've literally just been searching 'XCOM style games on Switch'. Isn't 2 the massively stressful time-limited one?

The time limit is not that bad. First of all, it's not all the missions. And the missions that do have a time-limit are usually quite lineair. Using it as a means to raise the tension to get you from point A to B.

But I would like to see XCOM 1 come to Switch too, as a like the setting and story much better.

Hard West is on the eshop. Sometimes gets mega discounted (got mine for £1.79). Obviously is more of a budget title but I've really enjoyed my time with it.

This is the week of the January Direct I can feel it... for reals this time!!

(Seriously though does any Nintendo developed game have a firm release date after Animal Crossing? There must be a direct soon, right? RIGHT?!)

What are the announced Nintendo games? Metroid Prime 4, BOTW2 and Xenoblade DE? They must have more than that surely this year.

Finally got my Switch back from Nintendo repairs. Well, to be more accurate, I got a Switch back from Nintendo repairs. The serial number is totally different, and it has none of my accounts or save data. I was hoping that if they did this I'd at least get a new model, but it's the same V1 fat model.

Can't wait to tell my 7 year old that her Pokemon save is gone! There I was thinking we'd got the hamster to teach them about mortality.

On the plus side, this could be an excuse to replay Xenoblade Chronicles 2...

You should flag that up with them and complain - the minimum they should do if sending a new system is to transfer the data over. Let them know.

Is that official or optimistic supposition?

Metroid Prime trilogy is pretty much a definite at this point in time. I seem to remember multiple reliable sources reporting they'd seen it. It's basically been done for over a year. Nintendo are just sitting on it, trying to figure out the best time to release it, vis-à-vis Metroid 4.

No way.

Every direct I get disappointed they don’t shadow drop it there and then. So this time I’m not getting my hopes up.

The question I was replying to was asking if these ports existed, wasn’t it?  Not if it will be released soon. I’m just pointing out that mpt exists and is ready to go. This is likely related to when Nintendo feel the title will do well enough, especially regarding 4’s lengthy dev time.
