In case anyone hasn’t tried out snes online yet I wrote up this piece about it.

Agree with most of that, particularly about the two sports games not ageing particularly well! Have to add though, I’m not too pleased with the picture quality of the Super NES games. I like having scan lines, but the ‘TV mode’ filter just softens the image too much down to a mushy picture. I’d prefer an option for sharper visuals worn scan lines, as on Hamster’s Arcade Archives games.

I suppose this will be exciting to only a few forumites, but In The Hunt has been announced as one of the upcoming games in the arcade archives series for the Switch.

DQ 1-3 announced for EU/US release. 27th September, because of course it's September.

Not just September, but literally the same day as Dragon Quest XI. Ok then!

Switch is going to become the ultimate Dragon Quest machine, I think. DQs IV to IX next, please.

A Baldur's Gate/Baldur's Gate 2 collection has appeared on the eshop now for £40. It's been delayed from its original release date in the September crush, sensibly. Except ... it's now coming out on 15 October, the same day as The Witcher 3 and Overwatch.

I was hoping they'd let us buy them separately as I only want BG2. Oh well.

I know... it just put me right in the mood but I wasn’t going to pay 45-50 quid for it

It’s definitely close. Best 2.5D platformer I’ve played and easily the best Yoshi game since Island. Some very inventive level design and boss encounters thanks the craft concept.
