I wish Eurogamer did a proper Nintendo Direct roundup instead of splitting it all up and covering only the bits they fancy.

Had no idea Divinity Original Sin 2 was coming to Switch. Anyone know if it’s a good port? This is a game that looks amazing but I’ll never have the time to play on home consoles.

I assume this was posted in here already, but if not here’s a dock/charging solution from the guys that made the Genki Bluetooth adapter.

I've heard of this already and it seems like a good idea.  I imagine Nintendo on some level are thinking - why didn't we do this as an accessory.  Unfortunately, I do t have many roof top parties to go to but I could see this sitti g quietly in my lounge for the nights my wife is out etc so I can play on the big screen.  Exactly as this promo implies I just can't be arsed unplugging the dock.

I like that dock for obvious reasons like storage and charging but this is tempting.

I bought it after playing about 20 hours on the PS4. It works great docked and handheld and I'm enjoying looking for different paths this time.

Get it. It's great.

I was playing Yoshi’s Island and I had a wave of nostalgia, but not for the original SNES game - for the GBA port I played when I was a fresher

The GBA port seems to be widely derided for adding Yoshi's voice from later games. Similarly Link's voice was added to LTTP GBA.

That second one is probably going to be about the same price as buying the new ones off the Nintendo Store and it's much less faff :P I'd not seen the first one, that looks pretty rad.

That's true, but I wonder whether it will be as versatile for compatibility such as PC, Android etc. Usually 8BitDo's stuff requires different button combinations depending on what you play them on, I don't know how that works with official ones though.

Yoshi Island on the GBA has some advantages and disadvantages though. Nintendo washed out the colours a bit to make it look brighter on the crappy GBA screens but it does have 6 extra levels.

I find it difficult playing LTTP on the GBA because of the lower resolution. Areas scroll where on the SNES you can see the entire screen, making avoiding some obstacles in dungeons quite tricky.

Also, if you want to use a SNES controller from your SNES classic, hook it up to a wiimote and use the 8bit do wireless adapter.

It may be anathema, but the rewin feature means I'm going to see the end of some of these games now.  I gave up with Super Metroid ages ago - but keen to go back to it.

In other news, looks like the Daemon X Machina demo is like Dragon Quest - the first 10 missions and you save your progress.... oh man.  I just can keep up with the awesome.

It's a shame the rewind feature isn't disabled during time trials. Maybe they'll add "SP" versions of Mario Kart and F-Zero where 150cc and tracks are already unlocked but save states and rewind are disabled to keep folk honest.

Friend leaderboards is a more optimistic hope.
