Yeah, maybe come back when you've played SMK, SMW, Super Metroid, and LTTP. All widely considered to be still amongst the greatest games ever made.

I've played through SMW, Yoshi's Island, Super Metroid and LTTP recently and regularly put on Super Ghouls N Ghosts. They're all still fucking awesome games and pretty damn short, too.

I've just played SMW in handheld mode for 10 minutes but have had to stop because of my hand cramping up. The dpad really is rubbish on the Joycons.

NSO: I’m guessing the answer is no but is there anyway to turn off the grey halftone background? It’s irritating me more than it probably should.

 

Also: I got the Japanese one too to see if there was any difference. They get Smash Tennis rather than Super Tennis (not that I’ll end up playing either).

There isn't. Not entirely sure why it's there. Maybe in QA the feedback was that massive black bars are distracting in a different way but the choice would be appreciated.

 

It doesn't personally bother me as the controls on screen used to but I'd still support the removal option, of course.

 

For my part, I'm loving play SMK and SMW again without third party emulation. Really great to have these in rotation.

I hope you’re all appreciative. I spent two hours of my life modding my Wii U and loading SNES roms onto it last week, so pretty much ushered in the launch of an easier way to play SMW.

I homebrewed my 3ds the other week too and loaded the sd card with snes and md games.
