Why?

Can't you just buy multiple sd card's and install a set number of games on each one? I mean games are generally getting bigger anyway, so even if companies get better at file compression it's only going one way surely?

You can, but it's nice having things all in one to carry around. I'd hope the bigger SD cards (500 and up) are coming out sooner, instead.

That's alright then, because I don't think there is a single game over 30GB so far. Biggest is somewhere around 23-24. :P

Wasn't one of the sports games 40+ gigs? With the save file alone being 5gigs or something like that?

In DOOM's case, I remember reading with the multiplayer it breaking the 30gig mark, could be wrong though.

True but that's racists for you. Co-opting a simple abbreviation and making it a form of abuse like the total cocks they are.

Unless if you're in Singapore (and maybe the rest of the world) where it's a very common abbreviation. It may only be a super-offensive term in the UK.

I remember my first few months in Singapore well, I thought everyone was power-racist, and that's novel for someone from Burnley. People just don't get upset at all over abbreviations.

Interesting that JAP is still used to abbreviate the Japanese national team in football.

So presumably you have no problem using "Paki"?

It's almost like the history of an abbreviation has relevance.

Very good point. This is the difference between a standard abbreviation, and a word which is most often used with malicious intent. There are quite a few such words. And this is what it boils down to -- the intent of the person using a given word.

Edit: As @Fallows says above. The word you cite is very often used without malice in other countries. But I have also come across very innocent words (such as the name of a fruit) being used in a very racist or malicious way. It all boils down to intent.

Note that we always used JPN to denote a Japanese version. Which is the accepted form to avoid any upset!

Or you could just not release the game in Japan to be on the safe side, like Snake Pass ;)

Yeah, you're wrong :P Doom is about 22GB all in. The surprising one for me is RE:R2 - it's bigger than Doom at about 24GB.

I think the absolute largest at the mo is LA Noire - that clocks in at about 27GB.

EDIT: Actually I checked the Daily Mail website and they use JPN as well so it seems pretty universal!

Just for information Fifa has 3 letter country codes for each nation, JPN is the code for Japan. Has been for quite some time I think

I always like seeing what the various channels do with Arsenal. Some just brazen it out with ARS, but others actually ram a whole other letter in there to make ASNL.

Believe it or not there is an ISO standard for country abreviations both in double and triple letter formats...

https://www.nationsonline.org/oneworld/country_code_list.htm

I know this because in financial calculations you have to stiplulate currency codes...  Sad.... :)

Can someone recommend me a Neo Geo AC game which isn’t Neo Turf Masters, a Magical Drop,  or a Metal Slug? Thanks. :)

Shock Troopers, Garou, KOF98, Last Blade or a bit of Samurai Showdown 2?

I hear Money Puzzle Exchanger is good too.

Any recommendations for a switch power adapter?

Mine was broken last night. The official one is £25 but I'd rather get 2 of them. So a cheaper third party one would be good.

Also need a game card case, anyone?

I'm not sure where else to post this as the game doesn't have its own thread.

I bought Joe Dever's Lone Wolf and am really enjoying its nerdy, choose-your-own-adventure charm, but I'm having one massive problem that is making the game impossible to play: I don't know how to equip potions. In order to use them in combat, they have to be equipped to your belt. I have spent a good twenty minutes trying to figure out which interface or which button I'm supposed to use to equip them but still can't work it out. I select the potion slot and nothing happens. I select the poition itself and there are only Use and Discard options. No apparent way of equipping, and therefore no way of using them in combat. The game's help section says: 'Remember to put your belt to good use: place potions in its slots' but doesn't actually tell you ... how.

Anyone own the game and know how to do this most basic but elusive of tasks? Google has proved fruitless and I don't know what to do. :(
