Velocity 2X coming to Switch in August apparently. A really good game this, is definitely a recommend

That's brilliant news. 2X wasn't as good as the first game, but it's a game which really benefits from a touch screen. Couldn't handle playing it on PS4, so the bigger touchscreen on the Switch (compared to the Vita) should be perfect for it.

About 14gb I believe.

Isn’t that basically the game, rather than a patch? The actual gamecard’s pretty much just a download ticket, as I understand it.

I know Nintendo need third parties badly, but I’m amazed they allow that shit. Make them pay the extra £1 per title for a bigger gamecard, for flips sake.

I was put off buying NBA 2K18 cheap for that very reason*, the extra space needed was just too much and it now puts me off getting LA Noire.

*That and the insidious micros-transactions that apparently ruin the game as I later found out.

The patch for the cartridge is 8gb

The e-shop version is 23gb

Basically they cheaped out and used a 16gb card.  I think 32gb cards are a fair bit more than a £1 extra though

I still went physical myself because 23gb is a big slice of memory compared to 8gb and physical still gets you resale value and its basically a once through and done game.

Supposedly not, an enhanced port according to somebody who claims to have source. And one those words might be considered to be racist in the modern age...

Are you referring to the use of "Jap." ?

Notice the full stop to mark an abbreviation.

Any game over 30gigs can basically do one, as far as I'm concerned. (having gone full digital)

Only DOOM tempts me of the thereabout size, thankfully. Though I'm sure it'll be harder to avoid down the road.

Note that we always used JPN to denote a Japanese version. Which is the accepted form to avoid any upset!

Why?

Can't you just buy multiple sd card's and install a set number of games on each one? I mean games are generally getting bigger anyway, so even if companies get better at file compression it's only going one way surely?

That's alright then, because I don't think there is a single game over 30GB so far. Biggest is somewhere around 23-24. :P

I, for one, get super upset when anyone calls me a "Brit.".

So presumably you have no problem using "Paki"?

It's almost like the history of an abbreviation has relevance.

True but that's racists for you. Co-opting a simple abbreviation and making it a form of abuse like the total cocks they are.

After being fine since i bought it at Launch & after hundreds of hours of play, I've run into a little issue with the Left Joy-Con. I don't think it's anything to do with the communication issue that was being reported, but I could be wrong.

Basically, it appears that the 'down' button on the joy-con is activating without being pressed.  I first noticed it during Hollow Knight as I like to play 2D games with the Directional Buttons, but after long periods of play the Knight will keep looking down at the floor, pulling down the camera, & the same will happen in the game & system menus too.

I'm not sure how serious it is though as it doesn't always happen & I can usually play around it for the most part.  The most drastic course of action would be to replace the Joy-Con but I wonder if it just needs cleaning? Could I do that without opening it?

I had a similar issue the other day. Turned out my pro controller was still synced and even though nothing was touching the sticks it still caused that very issue.

I don't have a Pro Controller.  It's only the Joy-Cons synced, & after a closer look at the area around the buttons its rather shiny.  Perhaps some of my filthy Human oils have seeped into the Machine Perfection?

Well most Anglosphere nations must be heavily racist against the Japanese then ;) considering the historical usage of the 2 most common names for their country, Nippon and Japan, in shortened form. And neither of them are considered racist what so ever :sherlock:

I'm sure calling a man from the country of China the logical (to some people) variant of the term Englishman would be perfectly fine too, though technically that should be Englandman if you were to actually apply that sort of thinking properly.

I can't stand the Joy Cons and think the Pro Controller is fantastic, well worth picking up!  If you want to save a few quid and don't mind a cable there's always the Mario wired ones on eBay for around £35.

You can get adapters that let you use pretty much any pad with the Switch, much cheaper than a pro controller or even a wired one. I paid £13.55 for mine (Mayflash Magic-NS).

Was shown at the Direct in March but yes much excite.

Crazily this will probably be the fourth time I buy/obtain this game (PS2, Wii, PS3 HD remake on PS+)... maybe this time I'll actually finish it.
