Nintendo Switch

My Switch is faulty. The battery basically depletes in a few hours, even when its turned off, so it pretty much needs to be plugged in constantly if you want to play it. Plus the left controller is very unresponsive. If you press left, for example, some times you wont move left. Then a few seconds later it catches up, and does several lefts.

Ive had it for just over a year (since launch), what are my rights in terms of returning it to Amazon/Nintendo? I know it comes with a years warranty, but isn't there a 2 year EU warranty that applies as well? What do I have to say to Amazon/Nintendo to get them to repair/replace it?

The other thing is, what will happen to all my games, saves, credit and so on?

Tell Amazon it’s faulty and you want it replaced. With any luck they will agree to a replacement and you can then ask them to send you the new one first so you can transfer everything.  If not, argue about it.

They will then reserve the right to charge you for the new one if the old one isn’t returned within a month or so - but you can then transfer all your stuff across.

Contact Nintendo and ask what they can do. It might be out of warranty but you can argue it should last longer than this.

Credit will be fine. Games will be fine although you might have to download them again. Save? Nobody knows.

Not sure your religion matters much in this case.

Go on Amazon live chat and say exactly that. Hopefully they will offer an advance replacement, they will send you a new console for you to transfer your account to and then have 30 days to send the faulty unit back.

Amazon recently swapped an out of warranty camera for me that was faulty.

Would Galaxy work on the Switch? Or would you be unable to do the pointer stuff? I'd swap a bollock for HD Galaxy.

Could just hold down one of the shoulder buttons and use the right stick?

I saw on Twitter that a reliable source has suggested Super Mario Odyssey 2 will be announced at E3.

So there's that.

I have no doubt it's coming - but this year? I think 2019 is more likely.

Considering the rumors that Mario odyssey was finished WAY before it was released, that would mean they had a good 12-18 months of development if they were to release later this year. If they are using the same engine this is more than enough time.

SMO2 should have a competitive multiplayer mode called Bo-Bomb Royale and allow you to attach a Chain Chomp to the backside of a Sherm with Mario riding the Chomp in the back while also wearing Peach's Bridal Dress to completely break the internet (which leaves the toxic cunts at the door in the process).

Come to think of it, Mario as a franchise would be perfect for Battle Royale now. Think of all the crazy items they could throw in there! First map would be the Mushroom Kingdom obviously. Lush green fields and rolling hills with iconic locations sprinkled throughout. The game would boast a ton of characters all with their own abilities. It'd be perfect!

Make it happen Nintendo.

Finally I got my switch back!!!

After one year there is still very little presence of fighting or strategy games. My two favourite genres these days!!!:seanr:

Anyway I bought myself Steam world heist and Bayonetta 1. Having a great time!!!

Looking forward blade strangers on the Switch!!!

If Nintendo were going to jump on the Battle Royale bandwagon then surely they'd base it on Splatoon.

Splattle Royale is a no-brainer.
