It is made by the people who make dynasty warriors. It's reskinned dynasty warriors.

It's a musou game. Which is the genre of dynasty warriors.

Never heard of that term used to define that type of genre.  Off topic and a Musou game thread needs to be created but is the Dynasty Warriors considered best in genre for this type of game?

I'd have said yes but the most recent one is shite. Get either the one before (Dynasty Warriors 8) or Hyrule Warriors.

I'm off on holiday tomorrow for a fortnight, so decided to stick a couple of games on the Switch to take with me. I don't want to spend my entire holiday gaming so just got the two.

Skyrim and Stardew Valley...

Probably. To be fair I hardly get any game time at home. If a holiday in Portugal is what it takes to get a few hours a night to slay orcs, goblins and dragons then it's a small price to pay. The kids can play in the pool, I will be quite content next to the BBQ having a waggle in Skyrim.

One of the biggest 'wins' I'm personally seeing from going all digital is how its extending life of the games I buy - with my old disc based systems a combination of not being arsed to swap discs and being a tidy freak meant as soon as something got a couple of months old I'd rarely go back to it and get it out the box.

On this having my whole collectionl there all the time means I often go back to an older game like Mario & Rabbids and know I'll eventually finish it, even if it takes a couple of years.

Same here. I would have sold off Mario + Rabbids months ago had I bought it but sure enough, I fired it up yesterday after probably six months away from the game and enjoyed doing a few levels. I love dipping into stuff that I seldom give more than twenty minutes. It's the same with Odyssey, Shantae, Bayonetta, Lego City Undercover, Gungeon, Steredenn, Flinthook, VOEZ, Deemo, Darkest Dungeon, FIFA, ARMS, Splatoon 2, Danmaku Unlimited 3, pretty much everything I own on the system I will dip into for these little stints and then rotate something else in.

And me, I was awful for not giving games a chance and selling them, I'm finding since getting everything digitally after finishing a game I'll pop back and play something I've already bought.

I'm tempted to get a 200gb card for the heftier games, anyone got one? All work OK?

Nintendo getting in on the Royal Wedding hype.

I suppose being a royalist sycophant is a pretty central character trait for class traitor Mario.

Meanwhile, though I enjoyed M:Rabbids far more than I thought I would, I got caught up in a bunch of other games and decided to trade it in for ~$30, which I used to get Bayonetta1/2.

I'm curious as to the trade-in value of Bayonetta 2 with the 1 download code used. Surely Best Buy wouldn't check that...

Just had a fantastic evening watching snooker and getting back into Minecraft for Switch. I spent three hours clearing out the side of a hill so I could walk out each morning to this perfect view of dense tall trees overlooking a beach at sunrise. Fucked it by about three blocks of draw distance. Worth it, though, very very pleasant experience all round.
