Tried out Battlezone on PSVR at an event and was amazed by the tight controls and immersive presentation. It's the only game I've ever been hyped about to play in VR but I'll definitely snap it up on Switch if the entire game is basically one big score attack mode.

I'm taking my switch on the road tomorrow - how do I charge it? Is it possible? I can't recall if there is the right cable in the box?

I’m not sure what happened with me and the Switch. Having bought into the early hype I got one on release with Zelda which I played to death and loved it like every second spent in Hyrule was Christmas magic. Even played it on the train in and out of work, which tbh I hadn’t really seen myself doing despite that being a USP. Then came Super Mario Kart 8 which I’d rinsed on the WiiU and felt instantly played out, I’ve hardly touched it. Things picked right back up again when Mario rocked up, but like all Mario games before it I grew weary of the world and have yet to return to give Bowser the final arse licking he so richly deserves. The Zelda DLC brought me back, but with every inch of the map already explored it failed to grip me. So here I am, wondering if that was it. I’ve no regrets tbh since what its given me in hours of entertainment easily outweighs the cost, but feeling the need for some new hype to rekindle my Switch love. What’s next or are Nintendo focused on the Labo for now?

Edit - arse licking...lol

@SpagMasterSwift I'm the opposite to be honest. Starting to build a long list of games I want but can't justify because of a backlog (e.g. axiom verge, Celeste, the end is nigh). In addition to Zelda and Mario, the other games Ive pumped a lot of time into are Splatoon 2, Stardew Valley and Sky Force Reloaded. Can recommend all those.

I think I felt a similar feeling about Mario and after I saw the credits I felt I was done with it, but now I'm properly hooked again and up to 700 moons.

I’ve played Zelda for around 200 hours and have nearly done as much as I’m going to on Mario but everything else feels it needs more of my attention, Arms and Splatoon especially. Early on I was choosy about what I purchased but now I have a huge number of games that I love but have hardly touched.

Oh, and I just got Football Manager so that’s going to keep me busy for weeks.

For anyone who hasn't played it I strongly recommend Mario + Rabbids. For me its in the top 3 games on the system along with Zelda and Mario Odyssey.

Still revisiting this at the moment, easy top 5 for me (behind Zelda, Xenoblade, Mario - in that order as 1, 2, 3 and battling with Splatoon, Arms, Axiom Verge for the next positions, and I have a feeling Fire Emblem Warriors would be up there had I not largely skipped over it!)

Rabbids wise, I think the next level is the final level, so I'm extending it by doing the challenges now :D   Worlds 1 and 2 done, and wishing the extra story DLC was out sooner.

I also somehow thought Labo was next month and ordered Disgaea 5 Complete yesterday, which was probably a mistake since my thought train went...

I'm enjoying Rabbids, what else is there on Switch.  Disgaea 5, that's a turn based strategy RPG, seems kinda similar and reviews well in most places.

We'll see, but I might shelf it until after Labo.

Switch has killed all other formats for me. So much so that I haven’t even contemplated buying God of War.

This is it. I’m no longer a gamer, merely a Switcher.

This.

I bought the Gold Edition of Far Cry for the XBO and haven't touched it, because why would I want to sit at my desk and play games like a crazy person when I could sit on the sofa and play Xenoblade on the Switch.

God of War on PS4 is literally my last throw of the dice for that system. For over a year it’s been a glorified Blu-ray and DVD player for me. As soon as I got the Switch my gaming life changed for good.

I sold the WiiU, the Bone, the Vita and the 3DS. If even GoW can’t keep me off the Switch, I’ll be sticking the PS4 up for sale and getting a cheap BD player.

Switch is just a never-ending stream of gaming magic: Zelda, Mario K, Mario O, Skyrim, Dragon Quest Builders, Stardew Valley, Xenoblade 2, Minecraft, Steamworld Dig 2...

I know a lot of these are available multiplatform, but I just want to play them (and everything else) on the Switch. My gaming time has probably gone up by a factor of 10 since last March.

I honestly doubt I’ll ever go back to TV-only consoles. The next one I’ll buy will be an upgraded Switch.

I wonder how common this is - I've bought all the consoles since the SNES/Megadrive era, including the incremental mid cycle updates but now I've got the Switch I didn't buy (and have no intention to buy) an Xbox One X, and never use the PS4 Pro or Xbone I do have.

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't buy a PS5 or anything else other than a Switch 2

The thing I like abut the switch is that is centalised around gaming. No youtube, iplayer, web browser - its about having fun and playing. The system boots quiickly, the seamless dock to undock transition is great making for a great pick up and play device. Also the games hardly patch and when they do they don't take long (ditto for the OS). These are the things I like about it. However what I'm not so keen on is the pricing of the games...but that's probably because I'm conditioned to the pricing on the PC and some degree the PS4...And Nintendo titles never seem to go down in price! :)

Apart from Souls games, MGSV and Drive Club, there is nothing on the PS4 that I've played more than I've played even something like Splatoon 2, and I feel like I've hardly touched that. It's so easy to have a few rounds though and leave it for a fortnight and then dip back in for another quick session. Same with ARMS. I've played fifty hours but seldom more than half an hour at a time. Then you look at Isaac or Zelda and you're talking two or three hundred hours. I'm sure Gungeon will end up there, and Darkest Dungeon and loads more eventually.

My SD card woes continue. I decided that the likelihood is that it is a dodgy card, so bought another one, but also got myself a USB card reader, too. And ran the HWTest linked so kindly by @MattyP, which ... reports no errors. And now I'm getting the exact same problem with the new SD card, too. I'm utterly baffled as to what is going on, here, but can't call Nintendo about it until tomorrow. It has to be the console, although there seem to be very few reports of this from my brief Googling of it.

What with Paladins and Crazy Justice, surely Fortnite has to be ported sooner rather than later?

No love for Monster Hunter?? I haven't touched my Switch for 2 months.

I blitzed Mario + Rabbids, Splatoon 2, BotW, Odyssey, thinking to myself "I will never need another console" but then Kirby got mediocre reviews, I'm not interested in Labo, mainly because I do not need loads of cardboard toys cluttering up my flat despite thinking it is a really cool, innovative idea, and I know it is blasphemy round here but I'm not interested in 99.9% of indie titles - I can wile away a couple of hours on something like Gungeon or Golf Story but quickly lose interest. I'm not going to pay top dollar particularly when most of those titles are already sitting unplayed on my Steam.

But you know that is fine, Nintendo remain my favourite console maker, I have always picked up their consoles for the first party titles and accepted that there can be long gaps in the release schedule. I will be fully back on board when Smash, Prime 4, Animal Crossing, a mainline Fire Emblem game etc etc releases. And the thing with Nintendo is you have cast-iron confidence that they will deliver the goods, more so than any other publisher.

Still they really need to bring a Switch Monster Hunter game to the West...
