First think I bought was a spare Nintendo charger. It’s brilliant - no stresses about how fast it’s charging it, and means I never need to mess around taking cables out of the dock.

I clicked and collected one from Tesco yesterday. Today I noticed a photograph on the box of the fucker plugged into the back of the dock. Just the exact same as the fucking thing I’ve already got. I took it straight fucking back so I could get my £25 back.

I really wish there was a decent driving game on the system. I bought an Xbox almost entirely to play Forza Horizon and while I don't necessarily expect anything on that scale there is nothing decent at all.

I know what you mean. Mario Kart is ace but after that there’s nothing much

If you want driving games on a handheld, a PS Vita with Gran Turismo PSP and Gran Turismo Sport (via remote play) remains the only decent choice.

Yes, but I’m not buying another gaming system. I’m Nintendo monogamous now.

V Rally is coming out in September I believe.

I hadn’t heard that, I used to love V Rally.

The ‘problem’ with the switch is that it’s reignited my love for gaming and also makes me yearn for amazing past gaming experiences. Sega Rally, Daytona, F355, MSR, PGR would all be very welcome!

Ridge Racer on mobile is pretty nice.

Thanks, Downloading now, but typically support for it stopped on the 2nd of this month (not sure if it’s fully playable without in-app purchases) but will soon find out...

I did the same, and feel the same.

Pretty sure Ridge Racer is confirmed / in development which will make me more than happy, providing it's less like Unbounded and more like 6/7.

Ok, so it's never going to happen but... PGR on Switch...  My favourite racer on my favourite (I think) console.  Mine = blown.

Not really, no. It feels like a mobile game in terms of controls and mechanics, pretty simplistic. It doesn't have the inertia or flow or weight of Wipeout, simple as that. It does feel fast and looks pretty good but it's not fun.

There are also a load of balance issues and rubber banding and stuff and mad difficulty spikes. Not worth it.

Switch XL then?

I don't get it, if you're going to go to all that trouble why not just plug it into a small telly 2ft away from you? It's hardly still portable if you have to rest it on your lap to play it anyway.

Its a no from me.

Coming to Switch later as well. :omg:

What a strange trailer. "Here's what you do in the game. Now we're going to build up tension that the game'll change into doing... oh, still the same thing we described initially."

Looks fun though! Should be great for handheld sessions. :)
