Can you use the pro controller whilst it's connected to the dock?

Yup. There is a setting to even allow for wired/wireless play while you are charging (though I think this'll disable a few of the controller's additional features oddly enough).

The left Joycon thing won't be an issue any more. My mate got one for Christmas and had no problems. Another mate got one the other week, no problems.

What else are you thinking of?

It does fall over in tabletop mode if you push it over or hit it with a cricket bat. That's still a known issue.

I'm finally thinking about pulling the trigger on a Switch. Have there been any hardware revisions to speak of, or are the issues of old still to be expected in a new, off-the-shelf unit?

Just buy it. Its library of games already rivals that of the other two competitors both in terms of quality and quantity. And when the Switch Mini rolls around buy that as well.

This looks great! :) I was just thinking the Switch needs a fun arcade racer just like this! No release date yet though bah... hopefully it will materialise towards the back end of this year.

(this is also available as a Early Access games on Steam if anyone wants a sneaky go on it! Cost you £16 though..http://store.steampowered.com/app/396900/GRIP/ ). It will be nice to have a decent arcade racer that can be played in handheld mode...

Are there any good arcade racers that anyone can recommend on Switch.. similiar to burnout?

Weird. My Anker powerbrick  will happily charge my switch whilst I play it but it won’t charge my Pro controller?!!

Hmmmm thought I'd give my new one (Powercore 10400 picked up cheap last week from Scan, is yours the same by any chance?) a quick try,  just to see if yours was perhaps dodgy and it's the same here too!!

Plug it in and nothing........

Switch it on and still nothing....

Plug my Aukey one in and it switches on and and goes about its business...

Not the end of the world as it charges the Switch, my phone and GoPro with no problems at all (and indeed the pro controller seems to last for waaaaay longer than I'll ever be out and about with it for) but it's certainly a bit odd / unexpected

But surely the tabletop mode should withstand a cricket bat....

If Sony or Microsoft had made a Switch alternative it would still be standing....

Just to clarify, the above was a joke.

Could be the same as the PS3 pad. It would only charge if a third pin had a computery signal on it.

It’ll probably charge on your TV or PC, but the Anker probably only has the two power pins on the USB livened up.

How come nocunt told me that the £25 official Nintendo charger is the exact same fucking thing that already comes bundled with the Switch? The thing that plugs into and charges through the dock?

How come I’ve never bothered to check exactly how the dock receives power since setting it all up over a year ago?

Over a year I’ve been on-off researching suitable and sufficient USB-C chargers, thinking how it’d be handy to have one. Turns out I’ve had the exact fucker the whole time

Question.

I can transfer my Wii to my Wii and take the VC games with me.

Yet I cannot do that with the Switch?

However my Network ID on the Wii U will be used on the Switch, so do I not have access to download those VC games?

First think I bought was a spare Nintendo charger. It’s brilliant - no stresses about how fast it’s charging it, and means I never need to mess around taking cables out of the dock.

Here's one for you.

Can anyone recommend me a lazy bastard bedtime Switch headboard clamp thing to play when prostrate in bed? I've seen them about on Reddit and the like but it's always been semi in jest so I've not paid due attention. I'm ready for my life to become a joke now - anyone got a recommendation, please?

Agreed; considering the Switch is a handheld, I wouldn't be surprised to see multiple hardware revisions. It's practically Nintendo tradition.

If anything they'll reduce the size of the bezel keeping the dimensions of the unit the same yet increasing the actual screen size. Any smaller and some games would be difficult to play/read text etc.

I bought this for an iPad Mini and it works great with the Switch. Playing Rocket League horizontally is life changing
