Football Manager Touch 2018 has been rated for Switch in Korea. For anyone who isn’t familiar with it, that’s not the mobile phone version, but the streamlined (mostly in terms of media & player interactions) version of the full game, also available on PC & Tablets.

Oh dear. Oh dear oh dear oh dear.

Oh man, the Gunvolt collection is on there as well. Should be great to tide me over until Megaman 11.

I've got just over £20 in my Nintendo account and I'm thinking of getting the Gunvolt striker pack too.

Or shall I go for Thumper and Axiom Verge? Hmm, decisions decisions!

Steamworld Heist is getting bought, had my eye on it for a while.

Haven't played much switch since finishing Rabbids around christmas. It is such a gorgeous thing, I smile every time I pick it up and the novelty of it all still hasn't worn off.

Axiom Verge is a supremely well crafted Metroid homage with enough of its own ideas to set it apart from other similar games. In fact I'd go as far as to say that no game has ever come as close to it in replicating the original Super Metroid. It's amazing and well worth anyone's time and money (a tenner in the sale).

People keep mentioning Celeste but it's not included in the sale.

I guess if you're put off by 8/16 bit style visuals then it could be an issue but both games were very well received. Celeste even got a straight 10 from Gamespot.

Doom and Arms for £30 digital ain’t bad.

Owlboy down to £15 is tempting.

Just not feeling the look of Celeste or Axion Verge.

Celeste is incredible, utter banger of a game and seriously one of the best things I’ve played in a long time!

If that is true, all my resistance to getting a switch will vanish. I used to dream of championship manager being on a Nintendo console

I've posted it before, but I'm going to do it again: everyone should buy Axiom Verge because it's one of the greatest Metroidvanias ever. Also, the publisher donates 75% of it's profits to help the developer's sick son.

Seriously, everyone should buy it.

You convinced me, bought :)

I do pine for Ikaruga though, there is something magical about that game.

Ive still got my Ikaruga T-shirt I bought from someone on here who designed it themselves about 10 years ago. I found it while cleaning the other week. Ahh, Ikaruga. I still play it BC on my Bone.

I saw Mighty Gunvolt Burst was sorta cheap. I've not had any experience with the series. To buy or not to buy?

Currently making my way through Blaster Master Zero which feels like the greatest platformer ever made compared to the jank of Mummy Demastered.

Burst is fun but more for the 8-bit nostalgia. Normal Gunvolt will serve you better I think, though it can get rock hard in places.

The visuals are the worst part of Celeste - that 2D pixel art indie games aesthetic is really tired at this point. But the game plays brilliantly, don’t let the graphics put you off.

Someone else mentioned this before, perhaps in the Golf Story thread. I completely disagree. It’s no more tired than 3D graphics, cel-shaded, hi-def 2D is any other graphical style. In fact, I much prefer it to perfectly-drawn ‘hi def 2D’, and only a few of my 30/40-strong Switch library uses 2D pixel art graphics.
