Sadly we are at the mercy of a developer implementing this. I can play RE4 and any other game on PC right now with gyro function aiming with the Steam controller.

the_debaser
RE4 was so much better on the Wii with pointer controls, I wouldn’t care much for gyro. Thinking about this timer issue on the switch, it’s a wonder they didn’t just keep the 3ds timer system. That shit was ace. Or the WiiU.

Send the duff ones back for a refund from where? I bought the Switch from an online retailer, so I send the joycons back to them, minus the Switch unit and the dock, and they refund me ... what? £60 out of the £280 I originally spent? Or send the entire Switch back for a refund? Besides, the reason I asked people on the previous page to check the calibration of their left joycon is because I suspect it's an issue affecting, to varying degrees, every non-repaired joycon in existence. Lots of people just haven't noticed. I didn't notice myself until months after I bought it. And as such, buying new ones would not resolve the problem. Procedural almost always is based on 'random' input combined with some rules. Not even almost. This idea of playing down or denying the 'random' input is disingenuous at best.

I'd like rllmuk's help. First, can some of you guys check yours for me? When in undocked mode with the joycons attached to the sides, go into Settings, Controllers and Sensors, Calibrate Control Sticks, and push down the left analogue stick to select it, then try pushing the left stick about and letting it go. Does the on-screen cursor snap back to the centre of the circle every time you let the stick go? Because mine doesn't. It jitters about and lags and slowly makes its way back to the centre, particularly after I've pushed the stick to the left and let go. Something is clearly wrong, and this explains why characters I'm controlling in games keep running leftwards of their own accord. The right analogue stick, on the other hand, appears to work perfectly - the cursor snaps back to the centre instantly every time. Second, what do I do about this? How do I get in contact with Nintendo? Do they send me a new joycon or do they insist on me sending mine in for repair? Sounds like the analog stick is knackered, get it sent bck asap. 11 hours ago, ann coulter said: Send the duff ones back for a refund from where? I doubt it's something people don't notice, thye just think the calibration is off, but infact the analog stick is knackered and needs physically repairing, if you struggle to click in the stick, then the metal underneath it is likely warped / bent through use, and if it is not doing nice little 360 circles and pinging back to the centre, the stick it totally shagged. I've got one like that sitting around the office, it's a Grey one and could have been sent back by buying and swapping some round, but that's proper naughty and I'd rather not do it. Waiting on AliExpress having sellers with 3rd party ones, but so far it is a long wait, only stripped down official ones are on there and they range between £13-£18 each, which is a joke. The actual task of replacing parts in a Joycon is simple enough though, so once the parts are getting mass produced by 3rd parties, we will be able to sort out any Joycon ourselves

Sarlaccfood
I'd be surprised if the 360's were that low but I guess if you take out the numbers you'd normally get from the Japanese market that could make sense.
